For years I gave my friends candles I acquired over the year for Christmas mainly. Then after a while I would give soaps and I found various people over the years who made their own soap and they became my signature gift. About 10 years ago I happened to be in Peju Winery and found a soap I had never seen before from the Napa Soap Company. I found this handmade soap with its natural and wine inspired fragrances with its handmade paper extremely attractive and it soon became my signature gift. I have a group of friends I give this soap to for their birthdays and again at Christmas. Everybody has loved this soap and now look forward to receiving it each year. My friends have told me they can use this soap who have found other soaps irritating. One tells how her boyfriend even looks forward to it and another who hated to open them because it was so attractively packaged and smells so good! I order it by mail and have stopped into the shop several times in the store above St. Helena. Personally I spend $300. to $400. each year and I know it makes everyone very happy. Napa Soap is a favorite in our household. We’ve used almost every scent and our favorites are ones with a citrus or berry component. We purchase both the bars and liquid … usually buy about 20-24 bars and two replacement bags of liquid every year For personal use . We often buy it for gifts and find that everyone we’ve given it to loves it as well. Even though Napa Soap has products for shaving, my husband prefers to use the liquid hand soup for that purpose. The bar soaps come wrapped in hand made papers and smell delicious! Rather than store the bar soaps in a cupboard or pantry, we put them in our clothes drawers until ready to use them. They leave a softer version of their scent on the clothes and it’s quite pleasant to put on clothes with that. We’ve been using Napa Soaps since pre-pandemic.
