Before writing my review, I decided to read all of the negative ones on here, just to make sure I existed in the same reality as those complaining about "grease" in a burger or "ambiance" in a busy restaurant. Turns out, I do, I just happen to co-exist with people that are somehow simultaneously pretentious and inexperienced.
I'm a born-and-raised Napan and I became a fan of Super Duper when I started visiting their location in Emeryville on my way home from work a few years back. Everything there was as impeccable as it is here and now. Super Duper was a much welcome addition to the Bel Aire Plaza in contrast to their underwhelming predecessor.
I've tried my fair share of burgers around the Bay Area and Super Duper stays up on the top of the list. Easily the go-to when a burger craving hits. The closest comparison I can make is to Brown Chicken Brown Cow in Campbell. Similarly, Super Duper offers a clean burger with no frills - unless you want them (see: seasonal specials). The under-rated "hidden gem" here is their Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, which you can upgrade with cheese and bacon, and easily sits on the top of its own respective list.
My only criticisms of Super Duper are as follows:
The "secret sauce" is underwhelming and cliche. Your burger is better without it.
American Cheddar, every day. It's a shame they don't offer American as an option. If they do, it's not advertised. The cheddar is great, flavor-wise, but it's dry in contrast to the juicy patty underneath.
The fry portions are a bit on the small side. Or maybe I've just been spoiled by Five Guys.
Beyond those minor complaints, Super Duper is serving high quality food quickly. You can expect to wait 5-10 min, ~15 if they're super busy. Since their prices are comparable to fast food options, I find it hard now to justify a trip through the drive-thru.
P.S. In case you're not a rocket scientist, their 'Super Duper' Burger is a Double Cheeseburger, 2 patties in comparison to 1 patty in their Mini Burger.
P.P.S. Their shakes are delicious, I believe the primary reason being their ice cream comes from Strauss. Best dairy products ever, do yourself a favor and try their...

Read moreI was SUPER excited to see this new burger spot pop up in the plaza. They took over the old Q BBQ spot, situated in the same plaza as Whole Foods, Trader Joes, OSH Hardware (you get the idea). wts -- you'll know what a pain in the behind it can be sometimes to get in here, it's always busy and there's parking but shiesh, come w/ patience, especially if it's the weekend.
Tried their burger and chicken sandwich, both of which taste extremely good. Freshly made w/ unlimited amounts of pickles (they make their own!). They do use brown sugar for their lemonades, which was my first time trying it. At first I was like WT Southern F is this. I had to get use to it. It's still just aight imo. Tried the strawberry lemonade to see if there was a "difference," idk why, lol, there's wasn't any difference other than it had strawberries in it haha. I'd still get it, it was good. I wasn't a fan of their garlic fries, but the kid smashed through those like their life depended on it.
All in all, this spot made it to my regular rotation when fast food calls. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You can order through the kiosk or go to the counter to talk to a human. Always friendly, well this location .. I'll have to do another review for another location I went to. Calm down, it was...
