I would have to say this place is clean and well presented. Some pretty cool pieces come through here. However, don't expect much of anything to be "affordable" unless a vendor is running a deal in their booth. Also, staff can be terribly rude. We walked in 20 minutes to close knowing that they closed at 5 (on a Saturday? Seems an hour so early, especially when more customers were walking up to the store as we were leaving). We had one mission, lamps. Found a couple that were really intriguing, but at 4:52... was approached by a curt staffer that blurted out "Sir, we're closing." I said "Oh yeah, we know you close soon, thanks". The staffer then responded with "well we close in 5 minutes", and I replied "thanks, we promise that we won't hold you past your closing time". Then we just left, since the staffer was quite rude in her delivery. Had 3 lamps in sight that we would have purchased for about $300+ dollars, out of a customer with only a 15 minute visit. Just goes to show that communication and service are a good majority of retail and sales tactics. Had the staffer instead had said something like, "Hi sir, I just wanted to let you know that we'll be closing is just about 5 minutes, if you would like to make any final selections" (in a pleasant tone), then we would have followed through on the intention...
Read moreWas there maybe 6 months ago and have debated leaving a review. Here goes. I found a really quirky item that I would have loved to have, but there was no price on it. I asked the employee that was nearby. She said all items should have a price on them, and gave me the dirtiest look ever. I took that as she was implying that I had removed the price tag. My daughter was with me and she had the same feeling. So I said can you find out how much the item is? And she was all bothered about having to contact the vendor. Vendor didnt answer and I was told I could leave my name and number and they would contact me once they had talked to the vendor. I never received a call. I had to leave my information with the cashier, who was wonderful by the way, and when the other employee told her why I was leaving my info, she said the price tag mysteriously is missing and how all items have a price tage. Once again, making me feel like she was implying that I removed the price tag. We had a basket of various items that we wanted to purchase and I seriously thought about not buying anything. But most of it was for my daughter so I decided to buy them. Spent around $70. We will...
Read moreI went to the store today and had a really bad shopping experience with the store manager Heidi. When I asked to speak to the owner of a vendor, she said I’m not allowed and she refused to call the vendor herself at first and stating the sale of a piece of furniture is final, even though the tag just said it’s a spring sales and not subject to the 20% discount. When I told her if she’s not the owner of the vendor, she shouldn’t speak for the vendor, so she said she’d call the vendor and walk away while I was waiting to hear the conversation at the counter…and then she came back a minute later and said vendor told her the price is final. As a matter of fact, she walked to the back of the office and pretended. It was such a rude and disrespectful experience with her. I worked with Jackie and the others previously and never had a terrible experience like...
