This was my first time staying at a Compass/Margaritaville property. I was there for a total of 5 nights, which included staying over the Memorial Day weekend. Upon arriving, the lady at the front desk was nice but when I mentioned that I recently signed up and had become a member that allowed me a few perks upon check-in, which I picked out in advance, she had no clue about it and said that I only get a free margarita or land shark beer drink.
Obviously, this was my first time staying here and thought maybe I was mistaken. Afterwards, I checked my new membership account and it specifically said that I was allowed 2 perks and I showed that to the same lady at the front desk later on that same day but she insisted that it was only for a free margarita or land shark beer. The next following day, I saw a different receptionist at the front desk and asked her about the perks and she knew exactly what I was talking about and did end up taking care of me by redeeming the perks I chose.
The property itself was truly wonderful looking and had a super cozy island beach vibe. Great looking rooms that were spacious and comfortable. Aside from the initial check-in experience with the perks mishap, the rest of the employees were very friendly, colorful, fun, and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. They really were great!
However, I did not know this was a pet friendly hotel and felt there were WAY TOO MANY DOGS on the property during my stay, some of which were becoming quite a nuisance. On the 3rd day of my stay, there was a dog in the breakfast bar area, which was a real turn off because the dog's smell and breath was not something I cared to experience while trying to eat.
Additionally, every time I would walk down the hall, enter or leave my room, there was another dog on my floor that would bark loudly and frantically scratch at the door, which was quite irritating. Tough to get any peace and quiet. Try to sleep in, not happening. My guess is the owner(s) left the dog in the room alone quite a bit but I just don't think it was fair to all the other hotel guests on my floor that had to deal it. Honestly, I felt bad for the dog as well, poor thing must have been lonely most of the trip.
Lastly, the front elevator was out of service for almost an entire day due to a dog that apparently did a number 2 in it, which I had found out from a staff member. While I appreciate animals, when someone wants to have a nice, relaxing, peaceful getaway vacation, it would be nice to not have to experience...
Read moreAbsolutely beyond great for the price range - it was the nicest staff going food for happy hour didn’t offer a lot nachos and salsa offered cheese quesadilla Parmesan fries, etc. hummus for six dollars each and the drinks were happy hour beers six bucks I think and a mixed drink like a margarita. They had a couple to choose from that were nine dollars and normally 14 a wine for six dollars, and it was great house wine the service was beyond amazing at the pool during happy hour the lady I can’t remember her name running around would make you feel special like you were her only VIP they offer flavored water, coffee and little snacks. Mind you their bite-size desserts, but it was still very nice at the entryway , they have a little store that has water soda, snacks, and a few Margaritaville themed shirts, hats, etc. but the bar staff will wait on you hand foot and they’re all very very nice and we ordered a burger on the regular menu and it was great my husband had wings and it was just like being at a bar and grill very very good so don’t feel you have to use the happy hour menu. The rooms are clean beyond means I found no dust anywhere the kitchen in the room except the toaster full-size refrigerator. The AC in the rooms are great I do suggest staying as high in the hotel as possible overlooking the pool for a good view otherwise you’re gonna look out your parking lot but what do you expect you’re in a city area super close to Vanderbilt Beach I suggest going there to watch the sunset over 400 parking spots in the garage. I can’t imagine off-season being full but maybe during season we went at 6 PM and did fine. There are Publix every quarter of a mile tons of restaurants , it was a great getaway for my husband and I for a weekend. I highly suggest it especially the price range between 160 to 200 we visited off season Great getaway! We had room 418 overlooking pool on top floor- Great view still quiet at night but lower cld be louder as pool is busy but still...
Read moreThis hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a beachy and relaxed décor that immediately makes you feel like you’re truly on vacation. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, and the location is unbeatable — just a short drive from the beach, great restaurants, and a nearby supermarket. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything you could possibly need: microwave, fridge, kitchenette, utensils, and even pool towels. The beds are incredibly comfortable, with high-quality mattresses and perfect linens. The carpets were immaculate, which really stood out. Breakfast is included and offers a tasty American-style selection — simple but satisfying and just what you need to start the day. One of the highlights of our stay was the free shuttle service to and from the beach. You ride in a comfortable, air-conditioned car, and the hotel provides beach chairs and umbrellas (or you can rent them at the beach if you prefer). Elizabeth, who runs the shuttle service, is warm, helpful, and full of positive energy. She truly goes above and beyond to make your beach day special. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar on-site. The food is delicious and fairly priced for Naples. Don’t miss the happy hour at the bar — Ximena will treat you like royalty! The staff overall is incredibly friendly and attentive. Another nice touch: there’s always complimentary coffee, tea, water, and snacks available in the lobby. The room also includes a coffee maker with coffee, tea, and two bottles of water as a welcome gift. Parking is spacious and free, which is a big plus. The hotel also has a small but well-equipped gym, clean bathrooms throughout, and fun games by the pool area to enjoy with family. There’s even a space with board games for quality family time. Truly, everything about this place makes you feel like you’re on a real vacation. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be...
