REPOST: I contacted corporate. They promptly reimbursed my deposit. They handled it well and I am satisfied. Still not so happy with the store.
DO NOT PUT MONEY DOWN FOR BACK ORDERED FURNITURE: We met with Carlos the sales rep who repeatedly told us how honest he was and he would never act unethical.
We were looking for outdoor furniture with hopes that it would be delivered prior to our son's graduation in May. Carlos stated that most of their inventory was on backorder and not available until July or early August. We did explain to him that we wanted something prior to the graduation. We made it explicitly clear what we wanted.
Carlos stated that all the other stores are in the same situation with all inventory backordered. He advised us to put $500 down on the order and we could cancel at any time if we found something available. Well we did!
We called the store to cancel the order and talked to Heather, the store manager. Heather informed us that there is a 20% fee for cancelled orders if not done within 48 hours of the purchase, it is written on the back of the receipt. I am going to upload a pic of the receipt and it is in the smallest print ever. Moreover, Carlos never informed us of the return policy and we understood that the money would be returned if we cancelled. We would have never agreed to this if we fully understood the return policy. Moreover, Carlos knew this.
I explained to Heather that this is an unethical policy. The furniture has not even been shipped to the United States to date. How can Rooms to Go be financially injured in any way?

My good friend who has lived in Florida told me to check Carl's Patio Furniture. He said they are a southwest Florida store with excellent merchandise and commitment to service. He reminded me I may pay a bit more but the furniture will last in these salty conditions. I first met Diane and she gave a warm welcome and time to find what I wanted. I was in a hurry and she quickly detailed the cost of a set I picked out. When I returned 2 days later Jim, the new assistant manager helped me. I wanted to purchase the furniture.
He gave me a break on the the delivery charge and actually delivered it himself in a timely manner and at my convenience. That is customer service! I saw a small scratch on a chair and he assured me he would replace that piece.
I love my new dining set and know it will last in these harsh Florida conditions! I meet many people in my line of work and will always recommend Carl's Patio for service and quality! Thank you...

I called to find out about my order after not hearing from them to be informed the it was going to be a little longer! finally delivered March 8th. I asked for a PM delivery as I was working they said yes no problem! The delivery driver called and said he will be there in 5 minutes at 11am, I explained I was at work and he asked where I wanted it putting I explained where to set the very large umbrella up however when I returned home the umbrella was in pieces with the 5 bags of sand on the floor.
