Norman Love Confections — Restaurant in Naples

Went to the Naples store while on vacation. Family of nine to inlcude grandma, her 2 dgtrs, theirs husbands, and grandchildren ages 5, 6, 11 and 12. Most are talkative and high energy. This small store had amazing employees to not only put up with us but was super friendly answering the many questions that were not always about the products. Image 2 little girls asking them do you like my dress, picture, etc while they are trying to serve customers. They were champs and handles everything with grace and whimsy. We had 5 types of gelato, not a drop to throw away. I had pitachio and it was amazing. Not to sweet with a punch of pitachio. Smooth, so smooth. We had a key lime pie, not kids favorite but was my favorite. Chocolate brownie was dense and fudgey, a kid favorite. We had mango and chocolate chocolates. They were good but the shining star to us was the macaroons. I dream about the pitachio and raspberry flavors. The only downside was that they are a little pricey. Don't get me wrong they are worth the price. I wanted to try everything but...

This place is amazing; fresh and unexpected. Friends highly recommended it, and treated us to some truffles unlike any I've tried before. Normally, I'm a fan of dark chocolate and not interested in anything else, so what stands out to me the most about these treats is that I actually preferred the flavors I was not initially drawn to; in particular, the fruit choices (such as Florida Orange, Lemon Bar, and Mango which are all made with white chocolate). It made more sense to me once I realized that actual fruit is used in the recipe, rather than extracts and flavorings. The other feature that stood out was the decoration of each truffle. Browsing the display case, the chocolates appeared to be artistically influenced by a combination of the natural wonders of Southwest Florida, and Jackson Pollock-esque...

It has become tradition for my adult son with Down Syndrome (TROY) and I to treat ourselves at this Norman Love location in Naples, after Troy is finished with his bowling league every Tuesday...and who greets us every time we go in??? Who remembers what we like to eat???? (Always GELLATO-Yummmy!)...Who always remembers my Iced Black Coffee without me even asking????
