!!!! One Star Review is for PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
To the Management of Fatherland District Shops,
I am writing to express my deep concern and utter disappointment regarding the deplorable state of the public restrooms, particularly the women’s facilities. These bathrooms, shared by both customers and employees across the charming local businesses, are in an appalling condition that starkly contrasts the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of the shops themselves.
There are only two stalls, both of which are consistently filthy. The walls are smeared with unsanitary stains, including fecal matter splatter — an absolute health hazard. The sinks are grimy, the floors perpetually dirty, and cobwebs hang in the corners. A neglected fake plant sits in the corner, layered with dust so thick it’s hard to tell its original color.
This single bathroom serves an entire district of unique, locally-owned small businesses, yet it fails to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and upkeep. It is disheartening to think that customers, many of whom are supporting these local entrepreneurs, must endure such conditions. Moreover, the absence of a baby-changing station shows a complete disregard for families visiting the shops.
The current state of the facilities is not only unsanitary but a poor reflection on the district as a whole. It tarnishes the experience for visitors and unfairly impacts the businesses working hard to build a positive reputation.
Immediate action is necessary. I urge management to prioritize a full remodel, implement rigorous cleaning schedules, and establish ongoing maintenance protocols to ensure these restrooms reflect the same care and pride the shops themselves embody. Your prompt attention to this matter will show respect for both patrons and business...
Read moreI grew up alot at my grandmother's on Russell Street but haven't been there in many years. Had family on Fatherland and I could not believe all the tourist attractions and how it has grown. I visited the church there where I was married. It was like going down memory lane and everyone was so nice. I went over to 1417 Russell street to see my grandmother's house and it was gone and there was a big rich home sitting on her corner lot and that made me sad. Bill Martin's Food Town where we ate every Sunday after church was a medical plaza but the times are changing and I just thank God for the memories of it all and glad to see that people are enjoying the neighborhood. I loved it and will try to...
Read moreWe ate at Local Taco. We have eaten there before and really enjoyed it. The food is great and the Margaritas wonderful. We live in Hendersonville and will travel to East Nashville just to eat here occasionally because of the food and service. We were a little disappointed to find out that they have changed to order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. We do like the patio and on the patio dogs are welcome. Great place to relax and have some great food and drinks...
