HORRIBLE!
I went in home furniture on Saturday April 6th, picked out all of my furniture that day and picked out a gorgeous sectional. Today is May 2nd, and I have not gotten my couch. I was told on Saturday that my furniture would not make it to my home until the upcoming Thursday, because of the couch. I got all my furniture that day except the couch. No one from the store called me and told me that all my furniture would not be delivered that day I had to hear it from the delivery driver. I called the store and that is when they told me that my furniture would not be in until the 24th. I said okay, but when the 24th came my furniture again was not here and again I had to call the store to find out. They told me again my furniture was not going to be in for another week. April 29th came no call no furniture, April 30th, no call no furniture. I waited unti May 1st and called the corporate office. My furniture had been sitting in the warehouse but because they were not delivering it until Friday they did not call me. I call the store again to complain and my sales person first said my furniture was delivered. Of course I told her that unless my couch is invisible it was not there. I'm sure she has received her commission off of my furniture and she never cared to call and apologize for me having to wait so long. The store manager's way of compensating me was to give me $100 off and not be charged a delivery charge, which really upset me because they have NEXT DAY DELIVERY GUARANTEED blasted everywhere, so I feel like they shouldn't even have charged a delivery charge anyway. Home furniture never has to worry about my business ever again and I would never refer anyone there....
Read moreI have spent some time in two different Home Furniture locations over the last week. I purchased my living room set at the Nederland, TX location on a Saturday afternoon. Our sales representative, Ethan, was amazing to work with. There was no “sales pressure” atmosphere. I went in knowing which set I wanted, and Ethan made it happen. He honored a lower advertised price on the set that I had in mind, without me asking. My set was delivered the Monday following purchase. We had a unexpected doctor appointment to attend, so I called the delivery service to inquire about the time frame of delivery, the ladies handling deliveries were so accommodating and understanding. Our set was delivered before we had to leave for the doctor, and the delivery men made short work of the set up. Today I visited the Beaumont, TX location in search of table lamps to better match my new living room set. Mr. August met us at the door with a friendly good morning and advised us that lamps were scattered amongst the different furniture set ups, he allowed us to browse with no pressure. With three kids in tow, he was very understanding of their millions of questions and “can I show you” moments. He offered the kiddos drinks and a few jokes. We found the perfect lamps to match our set. Overall, both Southeast Texas locations are wonderful! Amazing selection and even better staff!! Thank you, Home Furniture! We will be back for...
Read moreAwful Customer Service: Purchased 4 barstools 9/18/20 and was told they would be ready for pickup @ noon on 9/18/20, I was going out of town so I returned to the store to pick up on 09/23/20. When I walked in the store my salesperson (Chris Cooksey) was sitting in a recliner playing on his phone along with other sales associates, I make my way to the customer service counter to pick up my order and I was told that my order has not arrived but would be in next week. No phone call, email to let me know that there were issues and my order was not received yet. Two weeks later I go back and walk into the same situation with multiple sales associates sitting comfortably. After this round, I started calling every two weeks and finally on December 3rd they said that they were at the warehouse and I could pick up at noon on December 4th. Waited 2.5 months to pick up something that was promised for next day pick up with ZERO effort by Home Furniture or their useless Sales Associate Chris Cooksey. Spoke to the Manager after all was said and done and the best he could offer me was that he has already had to have "long talk" with him. This experience just solidifies why it is worth the few extra bucks to do business at Howell Furniture...
