The bathrooms and very tiny, and dirty. I counted at least six homeless people talking to themselves, coughing without covering their mouths (tuberculosis is airborne and common in homeless population). There was shxt on the toilet. I like how spacious it is. I like how the computers are set up. Parking is okay. Staff is kind, helpful (as they should be). I get it, not much can be done about homeless, just protect yourself and watch your back. One was sleeping on the couch, so if you need a place to sleep, come here ? Another had a table full of her personal belongings. Yeh, I'm not from Indiana, nor do I live here. Maybe I didn't realize where I was.

The trunk or treat, yesterday, Friday, October 27, was a blast! I took my 5 grandkids and y’all did a GREAT job!!!❤️ I took a photo of my granddaughter and was trying to edit her “white” tennis shoes out of the picture and when I did, the photo looked like ghosts were in the picture and of course the other guy!😱 LOL🤣😂🤣 VERY nice job! 🥰❤️ my grandkids LOVED it and saw SO many “Wednesday Addams”! 😁 three were with me!!!🥰 Thank you, Floyd County Library!!!🥰

It's the taj majal as far as I'm concerned , the only other place I'd rather be is in my wife's arms. I beyond grateful for the hospitality, and hope I'm carrying my weight. Steve's a hell of a guy, salt of the earth. Thanks again my brother, Merry Christmas. John C. They said comment on where I was right now.....the library was two days ago...oh well.

I will say that this library has been the best for years but let me just say this. Today I ran into people carrying very bad attitudes. Albert the new security guard that sits down stairs was totally rude to my children. All they did was jump up and down and he came around the corner and told them to stop doing that in here. They are kids what do you expect?? Its the kids area. He also was very openly rude toward me in the way that he asked. I told him not to talk to my kids! Talk to me! You all need to get kid friendly security guards. Not guards that treat and talk to children like they are prisioners who committed a crime! Next we have Emma. Let me just say that normally all the librarians are cool with me and also they are very kind. Today not so much. I needed her to check out my books for me but that seemed to be an issue. I dont know if I somehow interrupted her day but she obviously didnt want to. She directed me to go upstairs but I needed her to do it for personal reasons. She did it and at the end. I thanked her and apologized if I interrupted her day. She said nothing pulled back and walked away. I was trying to break the uncomfortable in the air but she ignored that. I get some people are there to do their jobs and dont care about how their attitude affects others but it be nice to hire people who dont mind interruptions and they are their to meet the customers need. I will say that this type of attitude will push people away from this library if it keeps going this way. Thank you Update TOTALLY BETTER TODAY!👏👏👏👏👏👏 there was a new security guard and emma was awesome today!! She helped me and things were alot better. When I came in everyone said hi and smiled and a lady offered to take my books so I didnt have to go upstairs. Thank you all for fixing the issues awesome...

This was my first return visit since covid. And frequented quite often before restrictions,(this is my hometown branch, so I've always been a lil partial, lol). BUT when I walked in today, that sweet, familiar smell of books was intoxicating! They had different, and multiple tables set up for kids to engage and participate in activities, and that was in the upstairs! Lower level is amazing, and my kids are always super happy when we go bc the children's center is top notch. Always adequately staffed and eager to help. Always clean and bathrooms well tended to. )solutely one of the best libraries in the area.. plus they have classes, book sales, holiday/season inspired landscaping (we picked our pumpkin last year from their street side garden) I cannot say enough good things about this...

I have been coming to the library to study for a board exam. I thought the library would be a nice quiet place to get things done with limited distractions but this library doesn't seem to care about this. Just today there have been 3 people walking through the library speaking loudly on their phones and was never asked by workers to speak softly or take the phone call outside. Phones are not placed on silent and when they do go off no one asks them to put it on vibrate. I also realize the workers sitting at the desk are there to help people find things and what not but they don't need to speak so the entire library can hear them. They need to implement and enforce some kind of noise policy here. So distracting here and will be looking for a new...
