If you would like to learn more about slavery and the underground railroad in New Albany this is the place to go. They have an hour movie about slavery. Old shackles, etc.. Civil War memorabilia. Also, they have interesting art and activities to do with children. The building itself is a sight to see and check out the huge tree in the front.

The Carnegie Center is an invaluable asset to the community. They curate shows with artwork from local artists as well as other artists. There are frequently thoughtful exhibitions that provide a history of the area, insight into the lives of famous historical locals, or prompt consideration for social topics. There are education opportunities for families and children. My kids loved the papermaking workshop. Al Gorman is very knowledgeable and is happy to share with anyone who...

A very nice place to check out art openings and shows. I have been twice and it's been a nice experience each time. The graffiti exhibit was really cool (12/19) and it was great to see a large, stately institution willing to go low brow! There was plenty of free parking behind the building and it's super easy to get to. A friend told me about the shows I've been to there, so I need to get on their email list or social media page for...

The African American history displayed and told here is absolutely beautiful also i wish there was more displayed but hopefully in the future they do display more African American history in this museum. But overall such a great...
