A hidden gem, especially for residents of western Pennsylvania and movie history lovers! What a wonderful museum! And so accommodating! Just about an hour north of Pittsburgh, you can find the Warner Cascade Theater Museum in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Travelling from Virginia, when I called to verify opening hours over the holidays, I was informed that the museum was closed, but was graciously offered a private tour by Jerry Kern, the owner. Highly knowledgeable about all things Warner, he explained the history of the Warner family and how they opened their first theater on that very site. The museum has an impressive collection of vintage projectors, memorabilia and collections of historic pictures of the New Castle area.
