A hidden gem, especially for residents of western Pennsylvania and movie history lovers! What a wonderful museum! And so accommodating! Just about an hour north of Pittsburgh, you can find the Warner Cascade Theater Museum in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Travelling from Virginia, when I called to verify opening hours over the holidays, I was informed that the museum was closed, but was graciously offered a private tour by Jerry Kern, the owner. Highly knowledgeable about all things Warner, he explained the history of the Warner family and how they opened their first theater on that very site. The museum has an impressive collection of vintage projectors, memorabilia and collections of historic pictures of the New Castle area. There are 2 small viewing rooms where the museum hosts special programs and movies and even cartoons. The museum is compact but holds lots of interesting photos and collections and well worth the visit.

They need to do more down here, hire local bands and have concerts, it’s fall now we should be having a fall festival every week. This town is just dead 💀 feels abandoned half the time.
