Horrible to Veterans!!! I was at home depot today 8/6/2022 to purchase sheetrock. I got to the cashier ( Elisabeth), forgot I left my phone home and asked if I could use the Military ID. Was told I had to scan the QR code in order to get the discount. How??? I CLEARLY Stated I forgot my phone at home!!! So I paid for the items and then went back to the house got my phone and drove back to HD (Went to Customer service). JUST TO BE TOLD I CANNOT GET THE DISCOUNT BECAUSE I PURCHASED SHEET ROCK!! THEN standing a few feet away from me another person (Elderly gentleman) asked if he could use his military ID for his purchase. Was told he had to scan the QR code or have the app on his phone. He told the cashier he did not know how to do all that and just wanted to show his ID! I offered my QR code to the gentleman, but was denied by the customer service representative . She told us that the QR code had to be on his phone since he was making the purchase . We both looked at each other in total disgust!! Who does that??? When did it become wrong to help out a fellow Veteran? We both agreed Next time we will TAKE OUR MONEY to LOWES They take the Visible ID card / and will keep it on file for you . All you have to do is give your phone number when making purchases. So much easier without the BS!!!

I went to lowes to buy some home improvement supplies light kit etc. Not only did they not have what I wanted....they were rude & arrogant. So took my chances on Home Depot. A longer ride from home but boy was it worth it. We meant an employee there named "Mike D" He actually greeted us and asked do you need any help! He helped us find everything we needed for our project, he smiled and was polite. The whole time he was helping us he must have been paged 8 times asking to go to different departments to help other customers. I said boy you must know everything about everything. He was very humble and said, "No I don't know everything but I know every isle in this store and where everything is" Mike D is an absolute asset to your company and maybe some of your other employees who were walking back and forth in groups of 2 or more laughing and carrying on should take a minute to observe what real customer service is and what working really is. Thanks again Mike we could have never completed this project without you!

Picked up an online order that is supposed to be a gift for someone & this is the condition of the packaging. The associate was helpful & tried locating another one for me, but the store didn’t have any more in stock. Just disappointed that this is the condition they thought was acceptable to give me the item in, and not sure how this is going to look when I gift it to someone.

I recently had the most frustrating and disappointing experience at the Home Depot store. I went there expecting to get some help with cutting a drywall, but I ended up wasting over 30 minutes of my time with zero assistance.

Every time I asked for help, I was told "someone is coming"—this happened not once, not twice, but seven times! Finally, after more than 30 minutes, a guy showed up only to inform me that they do not cut drywalls. He mentioned that if it was done before, it was merely a courtesy. Seriously? How am I supposed to fit a huge drywall into my Honda Insight without cutting it down to size? It's common sense that a regular car cannot accommodate such a large item without some modification!

The nightmare didn't end there. I went to customer service hoping for a resolution, but Katia (or someone with a similar name, as I couldn’t note it down) gave me the same runaround. She claimed that all Home Depot stores have different policies and even different prices. That’s absurd! The only time I've seen different prices is during special store promotions. Otherwise, prices are consistent across all Home Depots in Wilmington.

This store clearly lacks proper customer service and coordination. The experience left me extremely dissatisfied and frustrated. It's unacceptable that I had to waste so much time only to be told that the basic service I needed wasn't available. I will think twice before returning to this Home Depot. They need to seriously improve their service and provide clear, consistent information to...

Spent thousands at this Home Depot through the course of my home renovation. However I’ve always had problems trying to buy tools there. I bought some online, and that led to problems at pickup. Tried buying them in store, and that led to a 30 minute wait while the employees ran around trying to find whoever had the keys. But that’s okay I’m a very patient person and I didn’t mind.

Today, I was in there grabbing a tool for yard work and I saw the units I wanted just above the displays. I’m 6’3” so I grabbed them and went on my way. After getting everything else I needed I decided I could just borrow something of my dads instead of buying so I walked back to put the tool back on the shelf.

The employee standing there proceeded to scold me like a child and although she was assertive and not outwardly agressive, she insisted that “I could’ve gone to jail for getting the tools off the shelf”. I’ve never stolen a damn thing in my life so it sucked to be scolded like this. I listened calmly and agreed. But she insisted on telling me don’t do that don’t do that. It turns out I wasn’t aware that I had two of the same item taped together. She certainly made a show of huffing and puffing about that. So I finally just walked away.

Honestly, just go to Christiana where they don’t lock up everything. It’s easier, and you don’t have to deal with angry employees who (apparently) have...

Had a bad experience the other day while trying to rent a tool. The employee named mike told me he had the tool over the phone and would hold it for up to 2 hours for me. I asked him did I need anything other than my ID he said no. I was there about 20 mins later was told no cash only major credit cards or debit cards. So I tried to use my debit card and it wasnt swipping on their machine for some reason. Then mike tried as well and said oh this must not be an actual debit card. I showed him the word debit right on my card he became very rude and nasty. So I stated I was rushed for time and he yelled at me saying if you want the tool you better make time for this. I asked him not to speak to me like that and in front of my child. He also pointed to a sign that says debit and credit then yelled cant you read. I asked him to call a mgr for me to talk to. He became irate again said why she's gonna tell you the same thing. Then when the woman mgr gets there as I'm explaining what was said to me Mike starts screaming at me in front of her and she ended up asking him to walk away. She was polite and explained the policy said not sure why my card wouldnt read. I will never shop at that depot again as I feel nothing will change or be done and this man is getting away with disrespecting people/women...
