The service was horrible, the cashier slammed down our receipt and tossed my husbands card away from him never looking us in the eye and acting as if she has never seen dark skinned people before. We were the only customers that weren’t greeted upon entry; I noticed that all the white customers who came in after us were greeted and welcomed promptly. The cashier did not toss their card aside or slam down pens or receipts for them. The manager came upfront to the counter for the remaining time that we spent in the establishment, she delivered our food to us nicely, this reassured us that the food was safe to eat. The food was okay, mostly dry and under cooked, we tried to enjoy our meal while the cashier gazed at us with disdain. We could have enjoyed a meal anywhere else but we chose this place because it doesn’t serve alcohol and we had our 7 year old daughter with us. It appeared to be a cute humble little burger hut, we were not prepared to be treated so poorly upon entering. After driving 3 hours to Red River, a NM tradition for Memorial Day as a commemoration of our fallen solders, we hope our country is moving away from hate, NM is not a state I’d expect to be...
Read moreI was walking by and they have a paper laminated menu posted to the right of the front door. It has printed prices. When you go inside to order the prices on the digital board are different. This is false advertising.
The paper outside says the fries are included with there burgers but when you go inside they say “The fries are an up charge and we will not honor what the price says outside “ zoom in on the receipt.
The business is required by state law to only have one uniform price for items not multiple prices. The price I paid inside was higher than the price listed outside. The digital boards inside reflect higher amount. I have proof. Look at the picture of my receipt VS what the price is on the paper outside. When I questioned the staff they said “Sir everyone know the prices outside are not right and we have the right to charge whatever price we want”. Not only is this illegal but also the worst customer service I have ever received at any red River food establishment....
Read moreI really wanted to love this place. It’s the cheaper option in Red River, with a comfortable atmosphere and kind workers. So over all worth a visit. However, besides the fried pickles and their delicious chipotle aioli their food kind of missed the mark. The burgers were thick but dry and a bit charred for my taste. Their fries are thick cut-fried but under seasoned and bit over cooked. On the other hand, I understand that they have a selection of “loaded fries” options that could be good. Lastly, their shakes are made with cheap soft serve, which for me is a mistake, but to give them credit they have many add ins so that may even out the experience for some. So in all, come here for a decent meal that will not break the bank in Red River. I definitely suggest their fried pickles with a side of their chipotle sauce and some loaded fries!!! It may also be that my burger was out of the norm, and definitely would have been better with some of the...
