I had an amazing experience at Village Center for the Arts. Last night my husband and I took a hand building class with Sharon and Dianne. It was the perfect night out where we got to create our very own mug, from rolling the clay to designing and putting every piece together. Sharon was so much fun to learn from and the class was perfectly instructed. I highly recommend Village Center of the Arts to anyone who wants to learn drawing, pottery, jewelry and art in general. The atmosphere is incredible and the instructors are friendly and knowledgeable to everyone who wants to be part of it. I love how involved they are with the community and how they guide everyone who enters to express themselves. I will be back with my whole family because this has become one of my favorite places to visit. I certainly can't wait to see my finished product. Now let's talk about the talent and decor -The moment you enter the studio you breathe art from any point you look. My favorite is the residual wall that has been built over the years and plays a fundamental part within the essence of the studio. Wow, the time it has taken to build it, along with the collective effort makes it a great piece of work. I invite you to come and visit Village Centers for the Arts where you will fall in love with every aspect of it. I loved being able to see other students at a previous class work on their projects...
Read moreVCA is so fun! We went first to paint ceramics. It was very enjoyable, Jayson played us some wonderful music. Then we came back to do pottery wheel, and Sharon is such a great teacher! We were totally lost in the beginning but she really helped us to actually make some little bowls for our cats. We are excited to go back and finish our pieces. It was all very safe, everything clean and we sanitized our hands and wore masks and everything. Our lesson was private, just my husband and I with Sharon in the studio. It made for a very special night! I very much recommend checking out the VCA, it's all cool how they have it set up, really it's just fun to go look at. The open studio was very affordable! Good for a family to spend an afternoon, I would think. Definitely go to the VCA for all...
Read moreThis is an amazing place with amazing people who do amazing things. Everyone is so kind and friendly and supportive no matter where you are at in your artistic journey. VCA changed my life. I was struggling with depression and panic attacks. I had no confidence in myself and never thought I could feel like I was part of the community. I took a chance and went to VCA to ask about private wheel lessons, and was immediately welcomed like an old friend. Now I volunteer with children’s classes, and I consider myself an artist. I am at the studio doing something that makes me happy with a wonderful community that also makes me happy....
