So I took off 1 star for each dish I felt was subpar. Ordered a pizza to start and I haven't been more disappointed in a floppy underseasoned wet pizza. The tomatoes on the pizza were pretty much raw and just oozing water over the pizza. Flavors were disappointing and lacking. Probably could also have used another 3 minutes in the oven. The chicken Parm was probably the most disappointing thing that I've ordered though. It was soggy where the water from the chicken soaked through the breading. I had more flavor from sucking my fingers after eating celery sticks. No salt, no seasoning. Nada. The pasta that comes with the Parm was worse than spaghetti Os. I think I would have rather eaten chef boyardee. Flavorless sauce with overcooked pasta. The Fazzoletti D'Aragosta was actually good and only saving grace. The filling was flavorful and seasoned. The past was cooked correctly and the sauce complimented the dish well. Lastly, the tiramisu was... Not tiramisu? No lady fingers... Just disappointing yellow cake with the flavors of tiramisu. Dry and tasted fake. Go to big Y and get crav'n tiramisu fro the freezer section. Half the price and infinitely better. The blueberry mojito does deserve a shout out and pretty well made. Overall, I think this place needs to work on the basics of an Italian restaurant or just take it...

Lucia Ristorante in downtown New Milford is a gem for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the incredible food. The rustic décor, combined with a cozy, intimate setting, makes it an ideal spot for both a romantic dinner or a lively night out with friends.

But let’s talk about the food—because the Italian dishes here are truly out of this world. Lucia’s menu is packed with classic favorites, from homemade pasta to seafood dishes, and each is crafted with care and attention to detail. The flavors are rich and robust, with perfectly balanced sauces that taste like they’ve been simmering for hours. Their gnocchi melts in your mouth, and the veal parmigiana is tender and cooked to perfection. Every dish is full of fresh ingredients that transport you straight to Italy with each bite.

In addition to the fantastic food, the service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer great wine pairings or menu suggestions. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, they make you feel right at home.

For delicious Italian food and a welcoming atmosphere, Lucia Ristorante is...

Came in there with my wife a couple of nights ago and although the food was good, what what I witnessed and the male server ruined my whole dining experience. His service was not that greatest. He was not very attentive or alert to our needs and the way he treated the other female employee was disturbing. I am not quite sure who she was or what her role was because he never introduced her or himself for that matter but she was standing back very quiet and running to his demands. I would notice he would tell her to go do something different every time she returned and she did without hesitation. But what was really disturbing, I heard her ask him a question or tell him something quietly and he rudely said "shhh, be quiet. There are customers around. I know you want to have a conversation and all but now is not the time" She polietly responded with "No, not at all. I am just trying to learn" I felt embarrassed for this young girl and if that is the way staff treats other employees its disgraceful and tasteless. Where were the managers at anyways? I hope she was able to stand up for herself. I...

I went there for the first time yesterday. We sat outside. Our server, Brooke, was very competent, attentive and pleasant. I ordered a pistachio martini, which was ok. It tasted more like pudding than a cocktail. The caprese panini I had was very good and the fries that came with it were good too. My son ordered the veal milanese and he enjoyed it a lot. The place did not have a pleasant atmosphere. It was noisy due to a big truck parked outside for a long time, apparently delivering something to another business (this was nobody's fault but inconvenient nonetheless). Also while we were eating, two men came in with a big table and proceeded to move things around to put this table in place. It was distracting. My son had to interrupt his lunch to move some chairs that were in their way, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to fit the big table they were bringing in, without planning ahead. I plan to go back because I liked the food but next time I definitely will not sit outside.

My husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. I was able to drop off some decor, and the wait staff did an absolutely amazing job decorating the upstairs area, which comfortably fit 35 people. It was obvious how much time and care the staff took in making the room look so special for us! The food was absolutely delicious! We had a set menu that was thoroughly explained to us. They made accommodations for those who had some diet restrictions, which made my guests very happy. There was a private entrance on the side for our guests to go straight up to the room, which was also very nice. We had family in from FL, NY, and CT, and every guest still tells us how good Lucia’s was. My husband and I come here often and we are always treated so well. Here’s some photos of our favorite dishes. Thank you again Lucia Ristorante, for such a memorable night before we said “I do”!
