Amazing and sweet place to stay during your visit to New Orleans. In French Quater and 15 minutes walk to Mississippi River. Close to everything. Rooms are comfortable and authentic. For a few nights you feel like a real city resident, not a guest in generic hotel. Beds are very comfortable. Nice coffee maker Keurig style. Good working a/c , renovated room and bathroom. I liked that they have a shower instead of outdated bath tub, and sink is outside of the bathroom what I found very convenient to use when someone is using a shower. Small fridge worked well. There is a safe in the room. Our TV was possed by evil spirits 🤣🤣🤣 . It turned off and on itself. We even call to the front desk to fix it. All staff was friendly and polite. Only one complaint - room cleaning: they didn't bother to clean a bathroom and refill coffee and creamer, only made a bad and changed towels. There is no restaurant on the grounds but they serve daily complimentary breakfast. Eggs, oatmeal, cereals, fruits, yogurt, breads, bagels, make-yourself waffles, coffees, teas, juices. Very convenient. Everything a good quality. Also, there's a 1/4 Olympic size pool on the grounds what is very convenient for 100 degrees heat outside. 🥵 They have a small full bar with decent prices for your convenience and 24-hours complimentary coffees in the lobby. There is a computer and printer in the lobby for your convenience. Also, they have a storage room if you need to keep your suitcases after check-out and enjoy your time left before your flight. Trip to the airport is about 30 minutes long. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Every time I visit New Orleans I liked staying at this hotel I’ve stayed here many many times but this time was my last time. I was put in a room that I was not happy with. First thing I noticed when I got to the room was that it was HOT in the room. The a/c needs to be changed it’s too old to keep up with the heat outside. The rooms have carpet which is really gross in my opinion, The elevator REEKED and half of the time it did not work or do down to the 1st floor. They have NO ice machine I looked everywhere and I did not find anything I was told their was one on my floor but their was NOT ( but their was a kind worker that gave me some ice from the bar luckily) The worst part of my stay was the shower in my room It was disgusting and dirty, why would a hotel feel okay with letting their guests shower in something that looks like that? I dredged taking a shower there. In the photos online it shows a walk in shower NOT all rooms have a walk in shower and unfortunately I was put in this one . Also the coffee maker was in the restroom like why? The workers were nice no complaints about them.

EDIT ONE MONTH LATER: This hotel promised me multiple times they would refund me. In person and over the phone. After disputing with my credit card company they said the Best Western management is refusing the refund the money. This is unbelievable and a sketchy practice coming from a sketchy business. There is a rat infestation in this hotel. They are in the parking lot, the walls, and will find their way into your room like they did for me. When you get a contaminated room the hotel will not care, they will not refund your money. There was a sewage smell coming from the bathroom, but we just closed the door and let it be. There was a large gap in the door but I just stuffed some paper towels in it. But it was the scratching of the rats coming from all the walls and ceiling woke me up right after falling asleep. :( we were so freaked out by how many rats were in the walls that we left in the middle of the night.

I came to this hotel pre-pandemic, was shocked to see Wendell & Darlene still there. They deserve so much better. Property is just completely ran down, the pool is swamp green and management says that it is still safe to swim in. That’s a complete lie, believe me I am a marine biologist. Also, Marissa (got her name from Front Desk) she is not the best at her job. I never personal had a conversation with her, but when I’d walk into the lobby I’d overhear snappy conversations she’d have with either guest or her own workers. Also, the hotel seemed very busy during my u fortunate stay, fortunately I only seen Wendell (front desk worker) every single day but that’s bad because he told me that he was scheduled by himself steadily mot given any help. I offered to help, loll but he had it. Today when I & my husband went back to the hotel to collect our luggage I was shocked to see him there today being that every single day of my 6 day stay, I’ve seen him. I asked did he have any help today, he said he was supervision. Which his supervisor was outside and from familiar smell I’d say he was smoking weed with two other sketchy looking people in front of the hotel! I left this review knowing that it won’t make you guys lose business, hell… maybe you won’t care. But it’s unfortunate that places like this treat their workers with such disrespect. I tolerated my uncomfortable stay because I honestly just did not want to bother Wendell so much because I seen that he did look defeated. But, I also didn’t appreciate the fact that he was there by himself so I couldn’t have a comfortable me stay. Then, when he pointed out management today and I realized that he was loitering in front of the building smoking marijuana with 2 other ppl. Like seriously?! I honestly can’t believe it. I won’t come here again, just based off of the way workers are...

We had an incredible stay here, all 15 rooms! One can tell this is a well-managed hotel. The Reception Staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast is well above the BW norm which is appreciated. The breakfast staff was pleasant and accommodating. They put out coffee and hot water all day and night, unexpected yet very welcome. Microwave and cold water cooler are accessible day and night. Then there is the courtyard and pool area! One really feels the Nawlins vibe here. We spent many an evening sitting in the courtyard before heading out for dinner. It was so lovely and our group had a chance to meet other travelers. Nothing short of amazing. Readers, please remember that this is an older hotel, in the French Quarter, with restrictions on changes such as the size of the rooms or large, fancy bathrooms. You will be hard pressed to find that anywhere in the French Quarter and definitely not at such a reasonable rate. The cleaning staff does a good job with what they have to work with. The bathrooms are updated and the one in our room (230) was spotless. Water pressure and temperature were excellent. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are not huge, but standard in size. The carpet leaves a bit to be desired, but I understand that will be changed in the near future. Luggage carts are available to get to your room. Every detail has been thought of to make one's stay convenient. We loved the location as it was close enough, and far away enough, from Bourbon Street. We never felt unsafe in this area (really no where in the French Quarter did we feel unsafe), but this is a quiet area and that was a huge plus for us. We will definitely be back, both as a group and as individuals. Kudos to the management and...
