Must say when we arrived I was already mad how my husband was treated by Jason over the phone had my husband pay for a full night even though we didn’t sleep in the room all because we wanted to arrival a little early he said we could drop our bags off at one or 2 o’clock in the afternoon basically walk the streets of New Orleans when we get off the plane at 5:30 6 o’clock in the morning until 2 o’clock in the afternoon to check in at four is he like crazy in the head he was very rude and disgusting we had no problem paying for a night just to you know getting early it was just the way he went about things. He asked him if he could pay with him over the phone to secure our night and he told him no he said you can go on Expedia and find yourself a room , how do you even make people want to stay there with that kind of nasty attitude he was useless and we paid for a full night for a room we didn’t even sleep in so my husband do you back on Expedia and guess what the same room we were staying in was available no thanks to Jason my husband figured it out. Well when we arrived there, security let us in her name is Tori. She seemed really kind we had issues with our room to go off the bat. The balcony wasn’t cleaned like somebody sat out there drink and smoke a cigar. The lights didn’t work in the bathroom, so I got no sleep at all waiting for somebody to arrive finally around seven fortyish. I find a lady named Jasmine. I told her what was going on and I know we were already ready to leave and go to the Sheraton. She was really kind she apologize for Jason‘s disgusting behavior as a human being, and somebody who works in hospitality which she shouldn’t have to apologize for scum like him but she did , he should find himself another job. He shouldn’t work with people if he doesn’t like it she was amazing she moved us. We ended up going into the presidential suite. We waited for a while had a little breakfast. It was really cute. She got me too little cupcakes had a little bottle of red wine which Jason told my husband as well they would have a bottle of wine in our room when we arrived and he didn’t do that either for my husband, so Jason is just a person you could tell who doesn’t care about his job. He’s just there sliding by for the paycheck and treat customers like garbage when he should treat people better knowing they’re not a big brand named hotel. They are like a bed-and-breakfast they should go above and beyond so people want to stay longer or come and stay there more often but back to Jasmine. She made me feel great. You know she got some roses for me. They threw some little rose petals all over our room when they took us up to our suite , I thought it was really kind of her. She did think about us we did have refreshments. I just had to let her know if we could get more sodas and water. We had enough toilet paper and towels stocked up. We did have an issue with the plumbing when we were trying to take a shower and leave to go out , but they did end up getting it fixed. It was amazing I got to take a bath the bath was big comfy. It was beautiful we live in Las Vegas expectations are always high especially when we travel a lot. I went just for my birthday so I’m extremely happy thank you Jasmine you’re amazing , you are a 1 woman show you do it all and you made my birthday complete. I am truly thankful for you. Tori is an amazing security guard but she’s also an amazing person. She’s very helpful for you because the next day she was doing the breakfast and she even went and found me a plastic fork somewhere. I told her maybe you can go to the corner store because I only eat with plastic I can’t use metal , she went and found me a plastic fork brought it back, wrapped up and everything she tried her best. Thank you. I appreciate it. The mansion is beautiful. It’s on a beautiful street. In walkin distance to Bourbon St., French quarters the little liquor store is a plus buy things you need .jasmine’s #1 she went way above and beyond for me thank you so much you are what makes me want to stay...

Booked a trip 6 months in advance. I had to call 6 times just to get a confirmation email. After being taken to our room at check in (not the room I booked 6 moths earlier because the new owner is rehabbing the selected room as his own) the concierge practically ran from the room. That's when we noticed that the AC wasn't on or so we thought. The bathroom wasn't particularly clean, so I used the lysol wipes from my travel bag and cleaned the bathroom. As I finish cleaning, housekeeping walks through the door. I did give them the dried, crusty, used towels that were in a drawer in the bathroom. We went to lunch and when we returned the room was still 78 degrees. Brian at the front desk (I was toild by the HVAC contractor that he is the general manager) called HVAC specialist and as we waited. I went to the front desk to inquire about another room we could move to and was told by Brian that they had no other rooms for the entirety of our stay. Back in the 78 degree room, the HVAC specialist confirmed that the AC would not be fixed before Monday as it was Friday, May 17, at 5:21 PM and all stores were closed. HVAC gentleman went to the front desk and reported to us that a room was available but we would have to change rooms a third time later in our stay. Interesting that the General Manager of the property told me that there were no rooms but told an outside contractor that they did have a room. Back down at the front desk, Brian told us we have to understand that things break and there is nothing he can do about it. Once we walked away saying we would need to find another hotel, Brian called and had a room for us. At that point, we didn't want to stay and the issue was not the AC. The issue was Brian's disregard for his guests, his dismissive tone and inability to get off a personal phone call to discuss the matter with us, and the biggest reason was Brian's inability to apologize or attempt to empathize with us. We are now 13 days later, 21 phone calls initiated by me and countless text messages, we have finally been refunded for our initial deposit. Interestingly, Brian has been kind, apologetic, communicative and understanding in every interaction since we decided to leave the Melrose Mansion. We stayed at Melrose Manion 6 years ago and it was magical! Clean bathrooms, updated fixtures, so unique, perfect location, wonderful team. It was literally the reason we chose to return to New Orleans. This experience was more than disappointing. I can overlook a bathroom that needed a wipe down and having to move rooms because stuff just happens. What I cannot overlook is being dismissed, unvalued, disregarded, blown off and having to remind a manager of a boutique hotel that we are his guests. In a city so well known for their hospitality, The Melrose Mansion...

Ok we came in from San Antonio Texas. They charge for parking $45 a day and a 350 Emnity charge I believe it’s called. But it lovely old classic French design very beautiful. Cashier was wonderful explained everything to my husband. No problems a lot of repairs going on around on the streets. plenty of restaurants. Like every where. you can walk to and from. Including by bourbon street a couple of streets down mission about 5 blocks down. Go past the bourbon street towards the church and the jail that is now a marti gra museum more stuff down there. there is towels outside for the pool everything seems secure otherwise just dont walk by yourself supposedly on the reviews I read and also pick pockets too. One more thing stay away from those people that ask for money one grabbed my husband wanted to make a bet. Then he asked for money we like-do not carry cash. After he found out started to curse at us. The second one ask for money! My husband said how about some food so we bought him two slices of pizza he was happy looked like he wanted to cry. But was respectful. He gave me some beads I assume he got it from the ground or caught it. No tits involved they just ask for catching beads. But some throw the beads hard. Ass** so I don’t even try to catch them. But all in all we had a good time looking around and just eating . Took a carriage ride they informed you about the buildings, surroundings, back ground on where everything came from-$30 dollars a person and don’t listen to all the peoples referrals where to go eat. Just use google reviews. Burger place around the corner just plain smoked burgers baked potatoes are very good. The monsoon drink wow! I only drank a quarter of it I was drunk but I had not eaten at all so watch out for that drink they sell. Breakfast at 730. If door is closed the girls are not ready yet, then they open it . Help yourself to their hot coffee very Hot! Receptionist and dining helpers are very nice. The parking is safe 45 dollars a day. They have cameras watching back there. I carried a small charger cause we practically stayed out all day slept in and nothing really starts till later. These walls are hollow you can hear everything. Outside people walking and talking! Yah that hollow. Bed are clean no mites.. I’m allergic so yes I am grateful the specially clean beds. Small rooms but we were not here just slept here it was a great experience here I will recommend this place. Be respectful when u come in drunk hahah some are really sleeping some are dead drunk too but you can hear everything. It...
