Miniature Trains! Too bad, the place is only "open" on Saturdays and Sundays. Despite the trains not being in operation, it's nice to see all the efforts that went into building the miniature replicas of the various sights from New Orleans. There are some really intricate buildings and really cute scenes setup around the main track. My favorite building was the ghastly looking St. Louis Cathedral.

Absolutely worth the trip! Trains only run on the weekend. So make sure to time your trip accordingly. Located inside the Botanical Garden

Love it. Knowledgable and nice fella explaining the photos and the train project and it's actually very interesting!

I had 3 of my grandchildren with me. Special trip to see them and drove down from Baton Rouge with 4 adults as well. It would have been $40 to see this are of the PUBLIC PARK, and another $40 to go in to the children’s storyland next door! We didn’t get to see either as that is way too much money to require for a park!...

Be forewarned, you have to pay the entrance to the Botanical Gardens to enter the train garden. Then weather permitting, this is a great place to hang out with your kiddos. Our boys enjoyed exploring the train garden and the gentleman running the operation that day was kind enough to show them around...
