Came here for the annual Japanese Fest. We had an enjoyable time seeing all the exhibits and vendors. The drummers at the entrance were amazing to watch! Loved seeing the traditional dance demonstration. Besides all that, there were other artworks throughout the museum to enjoy. We want to go back.

I liked that the menu was inspired by the current exhibition, Ancient Egypt!

Beautiful museum and shop. Unfortunately, I purchased an expensive piece of jewelry at the store $$$ and it was totally defective. Diamonds fell out of the bracelet and the gold wore off quickly. No, I did not hit or bend the bracelet and no, I did not get it wet. Their customer service was absolutely terrible. She said I damaged it and offered no help. They wouldn’t even advocate for me with the vendor. I love supporting museums and always visit a museum store, but this is really disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything...

I always love museum gift shops and this one does have a variety of coffee table books, unique gifts, art pins and postcards. It has a truly excellent children’s section (complete with pillows for kids to sit and look at books) - in fact I’d say that’s their best section. However, I think it could work more with local artists for more variety in gifts. And they could have a few more clothing items - when I went they only had one...

Support the museum when you purchase souvenirs for yourself and loved ones. I was so awestruck after one exhibit in particular. This was a few years ago, and the exhibit has since traveled across the country - perhaps internationally. I'm not in a position to plan my life a round following that one exhibit everyone it goes, but I love that I can open up my souvenir book and live vicariously...
