I recently went to this store after arriving from my home state. First impression was busyness, but not a single person said hello (I was the friendly one). The store had lovely items. Eventually I was able to start conversations with other customers which made it much-needed lightness. The owner (my assumption) was very busy, but she finally said hello & welcome & that her associate can assist me. Her associate checked me out. I added an item upon nugging from my fellow customers, my bad. As I checked out I thought my total was high & looked at my receipt & realized I was over charged by double. I asked for an explanation she VERY RUDELY explained the 3 tier pricing by date. Iwas still at the counter & her statement was all sales are final (I saw the sign) but I was disputing the charge while still at the counter! She stated they had no way to reverse charges. I've never heard anything more ridiculous. My new friends were speaking up for me also. In all the consignment stores I've been in, I haven't seen that pricing structure, however I have always lived in Oregon. I was in a state of shock as the stupid $45 item was $90! The final blow was when the associate brought my item to my car, she advised I could open an account & put item for sale to try to recoup some income. REALLY SHE DID! I told her thank you for bringing my item to me. I tried not to cry. I don't know what the laws are here, but I believe if you are disputing a price at the counter after just being handed my receipt, that sale should not have been final. In the future if I shop in a reseller I will definitely find the price structure & if it's not 1 price, I will leave. I gave 2 stars because they had very nice items & a beautiful store. What a scam...
Read moreRUDE! Will NOT be back. I've spent quite a bit of money in this shop and visit, often.
Stopped by today before opening. The lady who opened (heavyset, dark hair) was there at almost exactly 9:30, so my husband and I walked in.
She informed us she had just opened and we assured her that was fine.
I walked in (to get out of her way as she was trying to get items out onto the sidewalk) and she said the lights weren't on and asked me where I was going.
I informed her it was fine, I'd just look around a bit; the husband can't be around people (allergic to the COVID shot and as a heart patient, COVID is a death sentence for him) and she exasperatedly explained that she understood but that she wasn't supposed to let people in.
The husband tried to put her at ease, explaining that he can't take a chance at COVID and to my SENIOR (near 70 years old!) husband, she disrespectfully snapped, "I understand that, guys."
"Guys?" Seriously? This is how seniors are treated? We did not demand anything! We simply went in to see if a pair of shoes and an EXPENSIVE piece my husband wanted, were still there. We'd been at Dollar Tree and could have just left after we finished shopping.
The items he wanted were still there, I found two other items and yet, we were both so upset by the utter disrespect shown to us, we walked out, empty handed, and WON'T be going back.
A simple, "Good morning! Give me just a sec before you go in, okay? I have to get set up, first," would have sufficed.
It's not our fault the opening store hour is listed as 9:30 and she didn't get...
Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience at this store due to the ownerâs unprofessional and rude behavior. I purchased several items, including three identical ones that had been sitting on the shelf for over six months. A salesperson confirmed they were eligible for a 50% discount, but when I reviewed my receipt at home, I noticed that one of the three identical items had not been discounted.
When I returned to the store with my receipt to ask for an adjustment, the owner became loud and confrontational. She blamed the salesperson for offering the discount and loudly expressed her displeasure about the sale, even saying she was unhappy I received the discount on two of the items. I calmly explained the mistake and even offered to return all three items so she could sell them at full price, but she angrily refused, citing a no-returns policy.
Her tone and volume were unnecessarily aggressive, embarrassing me in front of other customers. As I walked toward the exit, she continued raising her voice, creating an even more uncomfortable situation for me and my friend, who could hear her from across the store.
This experience could have been easily resolved with professionalism and courtesy, but instead, it left me regretting my purchase. While the store has a large selection, the ownerâs behavior is unacceptable. I will not be returning and would caution others to think twice before...
