John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), located in Queens, New York, is one of the busiest airports in the United States and a primary gateway to international and domestic flights. JFK boasts six passenger terminals (numbered 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8), each serving specific airlines and routes.

The airport is known for its accessibility, with multiple transportation options, including the AirTrain, which connects JFK to New York City’s subway and commuter train systems. Passengers can also use taxis, rideshares, and buses, though travel times can vary due to traffic. While transportation access is convenient, navigating the airport’s vast layout can be challenging for first-time travelers.

JFK's terminals offer various dining, shopping, and lounge options, catering to diverse tastes and budgets. Terminals like 4 and 5 are particularly praised for their range of dining choices, with options from quick bites to upscale restaurants. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout, though some users report it can be inconsistent.

Despite its strengths, JFK has notable downsides. Long security wait times are a common complaint, especially during peak hours, despite TSA’s efforts to streamline the process. The airport's age is evident in some terminals, which may feel outdated compared to newer facilities at other major international hubs. However, ongoing renovations, especially at Terminal 8, aim to improve the passenger experience with modern amenities and more space.

Overall, JFK is a highly functional yet occasionally overwhelming airport, combining a vast range of amenities with areas that show its age. For travelers prioritizing convenience and connectivity, JFK remains a solid choice, but it’s wise to allow extra time for navigating its...

After using this ‘service’ I wrote to the mayor to ask if he understood he was embarrassing his country that this is the first/last thing many international visitors see. I genuinely forgot for a minute that I was in New York and thought it was a third world country. Compared to the rest of the subway it’s absurdly expensive (I travelled for an hour to Jamaica Station for $2.50, then had to pay almost $10 for this five minute final leg of the journey). We couldn’t tap and go on our credit cards but had to queue to buy tickets – but the platform was too small for all of us to queue in so everyone just got in each other’s way. The monorail infrequent and painfully slow. And we had to change trains at one point without any announcement that this was required – we relied on a member of a flight crew who was a...

I'm compelled to write a review because everyone needs to know the best way to get to JFK airport with no delays no hassle no problems to every terminal in a very timely and efficient manner is to take the AirTran! Yeah, this is as good as it gets! Coming from Eastern Long Island from ronkonkoma to Jamaica step upstairs to the AirTran and it brings you inside every single terminal with ease and no problems! My hat goes off to the Port authority and New York State for putting this together truly one of its finest creations! The best part is you can simply use your contactless these are MasterCard to pay for the $8.50 toll back...

Trains are always delay and now the fare increase. The fare used to be $5.00 now it increased to $7.25 I can see the point on increasing the fare if the service was great. Late night and weekends you might as well take public transportation. I guess the new increase of fare was for this expensive bad laminated jobs they now have at every station and inside the train. Please hire someone better to do the laminations.

It's one of the quickest ways in and out of JFK but it is expensive at $8.50 for a short basic shuttle. When I took it ,it wasn't too congested. Even though it's pricey, it's still the cheapest option available. It also definitely beats getting stuck in heavy traffic in a taxi.

doors are extremely dangerous! was boarding the air train and the doors began closing on me. Another passenger and I both tried to wave our hands to signal the door to stay open, but i guess the doors aren’t motion sensor? not smart
