Al-Zabiha Halal Meat & Fish Market — Attraction in New York

So far so good. The store is clean and NOT inside some establishment/grocery store etc. This HALAL meat shop is located in a separate building which is good (you don't have to go all the way to the end of some grocery store to buy meat). Good variety of meat (most of the time it's fresh) and they also have fresh fish (most meat shops don't sell fresh fish but they do). They also have frozen Halal meat items too. You could call ahead of time and pick up your order after half an hour to one hour which is really convenient. Also it's open 24 hours again. (Used to be 24/7 before COVID too). Overall it's a good HALAL meat & fish shop in this part of Queens. Prices are also reasonable. A small shared parking lot is also available in front of the store which is shared by next door Apna Bazaar. (Paid) Street parking is easily...

Avoid this butcher at all costs—save your time and money! The so-called "goat meat" (more likely old lamb) was absolutely awful—nearly meatless, full of cartilage and bones, and of terrible quality. It was overpriced, inedible, and tasted stale and overly gamey. Total waste of money, ingredients, and effort.

To make matters worse, I had to buy this in an emergency to serve guests on short notice. The meat was so bad that we ended up ordering from a restaurant to avoid embarrassment. The vendor was also incredibly rude and arrogant, adding insult to injury.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't take my word for it—check the photos of the fatty, unappetizing pieces....

This is the third time I received bad quality meat even though I told the person meat should be good but the way they bag it looks clean from outside but when you bring it home and open it’s all rotten and black I live far an hour drive so it’s hard to go back otherwise I feel like take it back and throw it on their face , the only reason I go there because of halal and usually buy $250 to $300 worth of meat but they cheat on the name of halal I am thinking of file a complaint for selling bad meat and cheating while we’re paying full price may Allah get back to them Ameen.
