I honestly don’t even know where to start with my disastrous experience at Singas Pizza. From the moment I walked in, I had a sinking feeling that something was off, and unfortunately, my instincts were completely right. The atmosphere was just all-around terrible. The place looked dirty—stains on the tables, food wrappers scattered around, and the floor looked like it hadn't been swept in hours. To top it all off, the lighting was dim and flickering, which gave the whole place a run-down, depressing vibe.
As soon as I walked in, the staff was completely indifferent. There was no "welcome" or even a polite greeting. I was left standing at the counter for a solid minute before someone finally looked up and muttered, “What do you want?” I could already tell the lack of care would be the theme of my visit, but I decided to go ahead and place my order, hoping the pizza would at least redeem the bad service.
I’m a strict vegetarian, so when I ordered my pizza, I made sure to specify that I wanted a vegetarian pizza, no meat whatsoever. I asked about the ingredients just to be sure, and the person behind the counter assured me it would be prepared exactly how I requested. So I waited, trying to ignore the unpleasantness around me.
And then—of course—my pizza arrived. I opened the box, and there it was, pepperoni scattered all over my "vegetarian" pizza. I was furious. How hard is it to make a vegetarian pizza without meat? Especially when I had made it clear, more than once, that I am vegetarian. I went to the counter and explained the issue, but the staff’s reaction was honestly unbelievable. The person just shrugged and said, “Well, it’s just a mistake.” No apology, no effort to fix it, nothing. It was like they couldn’t care less about the fact that I was served something I specifically asked to avoid.
I tried to get some help from a manager, but guess what? There wasn’t one. The whole place had a “who cares?” attitude, and it was completely clear that customer satisfaction was the last thing on anyone’s mind. It was honestly insulting. I’m a paying customer, and I just wanted a meal that was made properly and with some basic respect for my preferences. But I guess that was too much to ask at Singas Pizza.
The pizza itself was just as disappointing as the service. The crust was soggy, the cheese was bland, and the vegetables were practically non-existent. What was supposed to be a veggie pizza was a sad excuse for food, and even with the pepperoni removed (after they gave me a new pizza, which was barely better), I could still taste how stale the ingredients were. It felt like the pizza had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Definitely not worth the money.
And as if things couldn’t get worse, the place was noisy, chaotic, and uncomfortable. The staff didn’t seem to care about anything—there was no effort to clean the tables, no one seemed happy, and there was just a general sense of neglect. I tried to sit down and enjoy my meal, but between the bad food and unpleasant atmosphere, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
All in all, my experience at Singas Pizza was an absolute nightmare. Terrible customer service, a dirty environment, and food that didn’t even come close to being edible. If you’re vegetarian, or just looking for decent pizza in general, Singas Pizza is the last place you should go. They don't care about their customers, they don’t pay attention to orders, and the food is just plain bad. I will NEVER be returning to this place again, and I would highly recommend you save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.

I love Bellerose Famous Pizza which is the same company(? Or adjacent). They have fresh pizza with good ingredient ratios. Clean location. Nice packaging. Bellerose Famous Pizza is only 5 minutes away by driving, so it’s close-by.
Singas has none of that and never fails to disappoint me. Stale, cardboard taste. Tastes like left over pizza made out of Soviet Union ration ingredients.
Even if Bellerose and Singas use the same ingredients, there’s clearly a huge difference in quality between the two.
Listen, there’s a lot of NYC pizza places I’d describe as “okay”. Those places I wouldn’t recommend as outstanding or unique…but hey, if you want pizza they’d get the job done. However, Singas is the only place I would NOT recommend anyone go to. At least this location- I don’t know if the quality/management/recipe is good at others.
This location is also open 24/7 which is concerning seeing how they’re understaffed, and their quality is poor. I’m assuming they earn enough profit by being the only pizza place in the area open so late. But it doesn’t really make sense because you’d also have to pay employees for more hours…?
My advice would be to stop being open 24/7 and focus on cleanliness, consistency, and quality. Some of the best restaurants I enjoy are open very limited hours. Bbang lab for example is a high quality bakery that is only open on weekends, and it’s in a busy area (assuming rent isn’t cheap). They are always sold out late afternoons on weekends. It is a different niche than pizza, but it still stands that high quality often creates a cult following. The 24/7 quantity over quality state of Singas is wasted potential. Perhaps that’s partially why Bellerose fairs so much better- they are not open 24/7.
Less pressing since I don’t know what’s behind the scene but probably a good idea to raise employee wages alongside cutting hours open- treat your employees better and it’ll...
Read moreOverall, I’d order it again. I ordered pepperoni, sausage mushrooms, onion, green peppers and broccoli. My wife ordered pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, garlic, broccoli and spinach. We were not impressed by the lack of broccoli and spinach that was on our pizzas. Even with the lack of the specific toppings the pizza was good. The delivery service (slice) was very disappointing. I gave explicit instructions to find me and the driver did not follow them. The initial estimate for delivery was 12:12-12:27 to receive the order. It was then changed to 12:27, which, ok it was still in the original delivery window. The driver arrived at 12:48 and because he didn’t follow the delivery instructions, took another 5 minutes for me to receive the order. So the pizzas were not as hot as they could have and Because it took so long to receive, I decided to not provided the driver with another $10 tip that I planned on giving. Don’t worry, he still received $7+ tip on the app. Pictures provided. I did like the minimal waste the pies came in, it made it much easier...
