A Hidden Gem for Bengali Food Lovers!

If you’re craving authentic Indian Bengali food, look no further—this place is hands down the best in the US! I’ve only found three Indian Bengali restaurants across the country, and this one truly feels like home.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a lovely Bengali lady (the owner) cooking everything fresh with so much love. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we had been transported straight to Kolkata.

Now, let’s talk about the food—because, wow. We had Koraishutir Kochuri with Alur Torkari, Egg Chicken Roll, and Fish Fry, and every single bite was perfection. The roll and the fish fry are absolute must-tries—crispy, flavorful, and incredibly nostalgic.

And then came the desserts—a dream come true! Malpoa with Rabri, Patishapta, Gurer Roshogolla, and Komolabhog—each one better than the last, each bite melting in our mouths. We were in Bengali food heaven.

Most items are available for walk-in, but if you’re looking for specific fish dishes or anything that takes longer to prepare, I’d recommend calling ahead.

If you’re from West Bengal, love Kolkata-style food, or just want to experience the magic of true Bengali cuisine, you have to visit. This place is a rare find, and I can't wait...

It’s very hard to find authentic Kolkata Bengali Cuisine & foods from this place are very close to that. Kolkata Style Egg Chicken Roll was super delicious, crispy ness on the outside roti is very similar to Kolkata Street Style food. Inside filling was packed with flavor, tasty & very filling. The portion size was good too. Went again & tried Kochuri & Aloor Dam, Fish Fry & Fish Chop. Inside Kochuri there was daal filling which is very much Authentic Kolkata style, Aloor Dam was tasty too. Fish Fry & Fish Chop were very delicious, coating was very crispy & inside filling was very flavorful. Kasundi & onions come as side which very much Kolkata style touch. Reminds me of Authentic Kolkata Street Style Foods. Owner is very friendly & super nice. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Kolkata Style Bengali Cuisine. Their Chicken Chap is very very close to Kolkata Style & it’s delicious.

The best authentic Bengali food I have had since I last visited my mom and the only best Bengali food I found in the US after having tried several places in at least 9 different states. The bhapa ilish shorshe diye (hilsa fish cooked with mustard paste), chingri malai curry ( giant fresh water prawn cooked with butter , coconut cream and bengali spices), ruhi macher kalia (rohu/ carp made with onion, tomatoes and spices), the vegetable cutlet (mainly beetroot , carrots, nuts and spices), mochar chop (banana flower cutlets) and of course- the famous Kolkata rosogolla ( and Bengali sweet made with curd cheese and sugar syrup). I ordered a lot and I loved every last bite of it and it was totally worth the distance. Just keep in mind that they are new and starting small, completely run and managed by the owner’s family..so if you can extend the courtesy of pre-ordering your food, it might really...

Finally a restaurant dishing out yummy ‘Kolkata’-Bengali food. It was our first time at this place and we tried to taste as many food items as we could. The owners are very friendly and following their suggestion, we started with Kochuri, chholar dal and Alur dom. Loved the trio. Next we tried some amazing fish fries with ‘kasundi’. Finally we moved on to the meal items namely ‘machh er muro die dal’ (fish head cooked with lentils), some alu jhhinge posto, shukto and dhokar dalna (all these veg), rui machher jhhol (fish) and Chilli chicken, with some steaming hot rice. The owners also treated us with some patishapta (rice crepes filled with sweet and grated coconut). The ambience and the food is quite homely, no excessive oil or spice, food that is both good for your stomach and your soul. Will definitely try some more items from this place and overall a worthy visit.
