Argana Day Spa — Attraction in New York

I went with my man to the Argana Day Spa for my birthday weekend. He's lived in Morocco and used to regularly go to Hammams there, so he knows what an authentic one is like. I'm happy to tell you he finds this place to provide an authentic Hammam scrub and experience. We both got the hammam scrub and we each got different style of massages. We were made to feel special and relaxed. The atmosphere was calm and friendly. The owner (so sorry, I've forgotten her name) has a happy friendly personality that puts you at ease. This was my first time in a hammam and it was magical. The steam, the black soap scrub, the clay/mud treatment. And between so much care and consideration. She kept checking to make sure I was doing okay. I truly appreciated it. We enjoyed friendly banter. When it was my man's turn at the Hammam, I could hear his laughter from across the hall. He said it was authentic and lovely. He said it's a fancy version of a Hammam, because in Morocco most are not private and you're in a room with several people. This Hammam was a VIP edition. The massages are also excellent. I'm terrible with names and also don't remember my masseuse's name, but she's of Russian heritage. I wanted more reflexology and my guy wanted deep massage. We both left feeling we got exactly what we wanted. We were provided tea and cookies in the sitting room. It's a beautiful, relaxing venue. We never felt rushed. Can not express how incredible of an experience this was. The Hammam was beyond cleansing (no pun intended) and uplifting.

Fatiha in particular is an incredible woman. She not only made the experience comfortable for a first-timer like myself, she does her job profoundly well and puts care into what she does. She deserves all the tips and accolades she gets. The experience literally felt like she removed a year of stress off my body.

The steam, WOW! INCREDIBLE. The oils, the mask, the scrubbing. Wow.

All the pampering and all the care put in is beyond what any spa in Manhattan could and would ever provide. It is totally worth the trek to Brooklyn.

This is one of those instances, if you can let go, surrender and put your trust in them and what they do, something that is part of their culture, anyone could and would benefit from this experience. It really is that great.

(Suggestion: I would do this at the end of the day or week, this way you can go home and continue your self care by relaxing. It will take your breath away, so no clubbing afterwards LOL! )

Scheduled an appointment. It was a birthday gift. Planned my day around it. Then got a call to reschedule it. I could not reschedule it as I had other activities planned that day. I guess someone "more important" than me came in. If the person who came in caused an issue with scheduling, you should have told that person not to come. If you can't keep an appointment, why are you requiring credit card on file!!!! I guess you want to make sure that ONLY customer keep the appointment and not you. IF YOU ARE OK WITH SOMEONE "MORE IMPORTANT" GET PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT, enjoy this SPA.

Given that the incident happened today and you replied the same day, you could have asked whoever was at the front desk at 4:33 PM today (time when I got a call from you to reschedule) if they asked anyone to reschedule.
