Unfortunately, this is a very disappointing review. We had just come from religious observance at a church a few blocks down. We had been walking in the cold for over an hour. My family and I were in desperate need of something warm. Nothing in the neighborhood was open. We noticed that though it was about 9pm, this store was open and customers were inside. We were just looking for some warm beverages. Upon walking in, we immediately went to the counter to look at their coffee beverage list. The person (who may have been the owner) immediately began to shew us away from the store, stating the backyard was closed. We advised him that we were looking for some coffees to buy & asked if a family member could use the restroom. He advised us that “it’s for customers only, kitchens closed…only coffee.” We then told him, again, we were looking to just buy some coffees. He told us to “wait” & proceeded to ignore us for the next 5-10 minutes. He spoke to the customers behind us and then customer in front of us.
After waiting at the counter after being ignored and overlooked, he didn’t say anything but simply looked at me, visibly annoyed. I smiled and said, “Can I have a small coffee please?” He looked at me & banged on the coffee dispenser & said “actually, we sold out” with a smile.
I’ve never encountered such a rude experience. We live in the neighborhood and love to try new businesses that open up. However, this behavior towards paying customers and people in general is rude. In the entire 15-20 min encounter, we made it very clear we only wanted coffees. This couldn’t be expressed to us that there was nothing available? We will not be stopping by this coffee shop again. It was evident that there was no intention...
Read moreFirst off, I love this menu. I feel it's like the perfect balance of delicious comfort dishes, basic meals slightly elevated, and some international flair. The food here is fresh and well made, so depending on what you order, you may have to wait a little longer but still reasonable. The prices are very good. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean, but not much seating. A little difficult to order on the phone because of language barrier. The guy is very friendly but the woman is a little rude. I love that they have an authentic Latin menu but I don't like that it's limited on Doordash and in print, it's separate from the American menu. The Latin menu is very good and I would like to see them promote this more. They make fresh agua fresca (fruit water) each day and I recommend the horchata, which is like a creamy rice drink with cinnamon, and the hibiscus. Love this new gem in Brooklyn and wish them...
I came here and the lady who claims is the manager and the wife of the owner is has the worst customer service ever! As you walk in there’s no greeting. There’s not even a smile.. but when you go and order she doesn’t give you any options or tries to give a welcoming service at all. There’s juice I ordered was not freshly made. It was hot and pre-made. If you want to save yourself a headache and an argument plus your money DO NOT COME IN...
