Beach 59th St Playground — Attraction in New York

This playground has certainly improved from being a large lot with over grown grass and outdated basketball courts. I attended school next to the park It was where we had recess. For years it was left unkept with unused handball courts, weeds, and cracked and uneven grounds.

Have not actually PLAYED here lol. I just see it a lot as I ride by on the boardwalk. Looks great. Relatively new. Well maintained. Clean. Always active and everyone is having a blast so there you go. Features: multiple bball courts. All have NETS. Pickle ball, roller hockey, tennis court and practice wall. Tetherball. Badminton possibly. Skate park with bowls and rails and all that. Swing sets, climbers, jungle gyms, swinging ropes, teeter totters. You name they got...

Enjoyed myself great time with family.. lack of amenities in this area though!! Further down next to the newer buildings you'll find a ton of amenities in the area. The City of New York doesn't care about long term residential areas like this one. Only new gentrified areas makes the cut on where the amenities goes! 🦵 Kick out the old and in with the new..
