Both adults and children will love the Jamaica Bay. You can watch the airplanes from JFK Airport taking off and landing. you can relax in the nature preserve area's. you can get a great view of NYC and go under some bridges which is cool! you get the feel of an exciting ocean adventure as well as a small town lake combined! the skiff boats are designed to go fast enough so that you can have the wind blow in your face and get sprinkled with water and yet also slow and relaxing so that you can eat your lunch, fish, or have a serious conversation. I like how the management team manipulates the rating by acting like they are customers rating the business. Environment experience. At night you hear gunshots almost every night. You mentioned hummingbirds Really? I never saw one all I experienced was biting salt water flies. And at dusk the Mosquito swarms are so very aggressive. I had my boat dry docked there through 3 different marina owners over 14yrs I think I payed well enough or I would not have made 14 yrs. The marina has been a perfect getaway for me and my friends from the urban chaos and stress. Ari, Martin and Rosie are doing their best to keep this gem low key and fun for everyone who are boating here. Local fishermen and creative types coexist perfectly and everyone finds their own little paradise here. Most of the docking spots are taken for house boats but there's space left and lots of space for small fishing boats still.
