Been shopping at this market since 2018. This supermarket is slowly getting worse.
One : The ladies at the front hound you down for your bags. I get it you want the bags to be checked but theres a way to approach someone about it. I automatically go straight to them to check my bag because i know the market.. but i have seen how people are spoken too. Maybe The owner needs to place a sign that shows bags need to be checked .. or change the layout to where the entrance leads to the bag check area.
Two : PAY ATTENTION to expiration dates please. I am not sure whats going on but they have expired products on the shelves. I purchased a minute maid lemonade and it was BAD!
Three: the meat section is not the best. Ground beef looks and smells bad nasty color. Pay attention to the meat youre purchasing and make sure you smell it.
Four: they RARELY have sales. Everything in here is extremely expensive. Down to a single can of ginger ale. This place has gotten wayy to expensive.
Last but not least FIVE: the cashiers they have now dont acknowledge you.. theres no greeting what so ever. Just miserable looking. When you have a business it definitely does matter who you hire. They look as if they are unhappy at the establishment. My 3 year old was saying hi to the cashier and he completely ignored her which was extremely rude . You couldnt even wave ? Then to make matters worse I noticed a 8 pack of juice I was purchasing was sticky and expired. When I bought it up to his attention it was as if he didnt care. So I didnt even bother buying another one. I asked him to take it off my receipt and left . Went straight to the CTown on 18th ave.
It sucks because this supermarket is closest to where I live. But nobody wants to deal with this anymore. Maybe you guys need to send a secret shopper in the store to see what im talking about. I hope it...
Read moreThe WORST SERVICE I ever had.! All the time when I come there the blond woman creates a problem. She is rude, disrespectful and does not care about the customers = shop. I always use a cart to store my purchases and feel comfortable to put them in a bag after shopping. The blond always takes it away. I asked her do not take it before I finished, and it always goes to argument. Today again she took my cart, I asked her to leave it alone and she start to argue with me and telling me about some kind rules that she doesn’t understand herself. Of course it was a loud argue again, and the Spanish lady told me that this is her home and I am not welcome there 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 Honey , you are not last owner on the earth , and your customer service is sucks! If I have to suffer in your store dealing with my purchase and feel uncomfortable to put it in my bag I am not coming.l!!! There are plenty shops around where i can be comfortable, buy what i want for the less price , and bring my money! She start laughing that customers doesn’t make money for her . Well , interesting who does??? Your workers? Your cashiers? You are in the sale business or you do not understand that? People who buys everything in the store make you a profit, and you saying that they are not ? 😂😂😂 I am very glad that I made a decision to return everything back 👍🏻 If I do not make money for you - you do not deserve my money. There are many other shops where I can go and have a wonderful shopping . By the way I do not go to that shop after first argument with the blond , today it just was on my way to the post office . And Spanish lady told me I am not welcome 🤣🤣🤣 I Will never go to the place with the toxic people. ADIOS ! Also Spanish lady did a research in my bag without asking permission. Are...
Read moreI have been shopping at Bensonhurst Market for the past three years. I shopped here roughly 2-3 times a week; each time spending an estimated $100.00-$150.00. Today (01/31/2023) I entered the store as I always have with my headphones and my backpack on. I was followed by one of the teenage cashiers who left their register unattended to wave me down. He then told me I had to take off my bag and leave it unattended on the floor near the exit. I then looked at the older blonde woman who I am assuming manages the general staff. She nodded and gestured that I leave my bag unattended on the floor near the exit. As someone who has been shopping here for years, who enjoys the more expensive items in a grocery store (salmon, organic meat, first press olive oil, fresh breads), I took this as an insult. To run me down inside of your supermarket and be treated as if I was holding illegal paraphernalia is unacceptable. I can appreciate some level of monitoring what sort of storage customers bring into your store, but when you have a regular who is spending good money on luxury foods, please understand that there is some level of mutual respect that I will not be treated like some low-life who would steal from a grocery store. I don’t bother anyone in your store, and just wish to do my shopping quietly and without such extravagant drama as to be yelled at, flagged down, and stared at by an entire store of people trying to buy their own groceries. For this reason, I will no longer be shopping at...
