I always shopped at this bakery all the time and always enjoyed their pastries, cakes, and cookies, however all that changed on Thursday Sept Sept 28th. I stopped there around 5:45-6:00pm to buy 2 pastries on my way to work. I am a nurse who works at a hospital icu unit. I know very well about disease, viruses , germs, and all that spreading easily that can make people very sick very fast especially these days. One of the hispanic ladies, very nice and polite who took my order and was packing my order, I observed a young lady this is the first time I see her there she looks either Arabic or Indian at a table that's right there in view of customers next to a machine that they tie the strings on the boxes of pastries, this girl had a tray of either pastries bites or cookies she was transferring the small pastries bites on to another tray and at the same time she was taking some and eating it right there into her mouth and putting some on the tray as she kept eating some with the same hand that went into her mouth she she is putting pastries on the tray that the customers will be purchasing. I asked the hispanic girl when I went to pay, who is that girl? Does she work here? The spanish girl replied, " Yes she works here, she is new" I said to the spanish girl. " She is eating pastries from the tray that she is preparing for customers to purchase and with the same hand that goes into her mouth she is touching pastries that from that tray the customers will be buying". She cannot be doing that. That is something the board of health will fine and can even close the bakery for that. Her mouth germs, saliva, lipstick and all on pastries people would be buying can make people VERY sick especially WE STILL HAVE COVID GOING ON!!. The Spanish girl apologize to me and asked me what do I say to her? I was shocked!! I said you tell her a customer saw what she was doing and she cannot be doing that. ABSOLUTELY a big NO YOU CANNOT DO THAT! She is spreading her mouth germs into pastries that is for customers to buy. If this is reported to the dept of health this bakery will have an inspector here fast. That's absolutely wrong to do and she can cause people to EASILY get sick VERY fast. I always loved Rinni bakery cakes and pastries and been going there for more than 20 years, but after what I saw. I will not be going...
Read moreIt was my brother in law's birthday and I wanted to get him a birthday cake. He likes cheese cake and so I googled best cheesecake in my area and Rimini Pastry came up. Read the reviews and decided to check it out. I got a small plain cheesecake to try, they call it heavy cream which turns out to be quite the opposite. I took it back to my car that was parked right outside and dug in. I took 2 tiny bites, closed up the box and walked back into the shop to place an order for the medium size. I shared the pastry with my mom and we both agreed, it was light and just sweet enough for our tastebuds. We are not fans of overly sweet desserts. The medium sized cake under 3lbs, it's $12/lb and they weigh it before boxing it up.
The staff is very friendly and the place was clean. Although the store is on the small side, there is a lot of delicious pastries to choose from gelato, cannolis, cakes and cookies and bread/rolls, just to name a few.
Anyway, the birthday was the next day and there were a total of 5 cakes. There was a blueberry chiffon (Paris Baguette), Carvel ice cream sheet cake, chocolate roll and a mango cake (Red Robbin). We had the ice cream and cheesecake at the restaurant and everyone kept saying how delicious the cheesecake was. It did not disappoint, it was so delicious much better than Junior's which was more dense and sweet. I was so happy with the cheesecake, I'll be back to check out...
Read moreI placed a cake order on Friday 4/11 for 2 cakes, price breakdown $80 & $30 total $110. I was very specific on the cake order. I must say Iâm very disappointed, this is my neighborhood bakery for 15 years shopping religiously since Iâve lived in the neighborhood. My custom made cake of $80 was photo added (vanilla cake with French vanilla cream and banana). Letâs just say the bananas werenât fresh and when I cut the cake the banana looked black. The bananas werenât fresh seemed like they were old and just used it in the cake with no care. I should have taken a picture but I threw it out. My $30 cake I order a white sponge cake with Oreo filling and I never asked for strawberry and somehow strawberries were added and instead of white sponge cake it was chocolate cake. Even the day of the pick up I asked the girl are you sure itâs white cake and she said yes. But this cake I did take a picture because I cut it a day apart. Finally the writing on the cake, since when did we loose the tradition on writing script and went to print? It looked like a child wrote on it. I really used to like this place but I wonât be ordering from them ever again, not sure what has happened but not the same baker. Truly disappointed and embarrassing, $110 wasted and overpriced for...
