This lady named peggy came to us with a bad attitude just because my nieces and my nephew were sitting/standing there eating icy on the mermaid parade day we went to buy shades right in front of beer garden and then we decided to stay next to beer garden( because it was closed) for the kids to finish their icy before going on a 2hours commute to Jersey this lady came out of nowhere giving bad attitudes and me trying to be polite said I'm sorry to her and she gave me a bad look and kept yelling straight to the kids telling them that they needed to leave one of my nieces spilled a little bit of her icy as she was standing up cause she was nervous and peggy started yelling and I quote, "REALLY, REALLY....REALLY THIS IS WHY I CANT HAVE THIS HERE YOU GOTTA GO THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY ", my girlfriend asked her to please relax because they were just kids but she kept going with rudeness then she approached the vendor (the one we bought the shades from) and started telling her something pointing at us the vendor was shaking her head saying no and peggy walked away to the go karts tickets booth and the vendors started closing their little shop I asked the vendor if she asked them to closed the shop and they said yes but they looked nervous and didnt want to talk much we stayed there for a few more mins while other people started to get together on the same spot we were I mean its CONEY ISLAND and it's called LUNA PARK as I know is public for people to be around and enjoy their days with family not to be yelled at cause you standing on a spot I feel like she was being racist because we are Hispanic the vendors were Hispanic too and shes a white lady there were no necessity for her to be nasty because there were no sign saying no loitering I wonder what she gonna do when people start buying their beers in beer garden and spilling them right there well I love go Karts but Luna park is not gonna see a dollar from me or my family thanks...
Read moreHad family in the city and since the adults had not been to Coney island in almost 15 yrs i was really happy to take them to Coney island and view the massive improvements plus the aquarium and the mermaid parade...after a great day in the sun we decided to get Icys for the children near Luna park before heading back to NJ via the MTA which is almost a 2 hour ride...tempertures around 5pm where still around 94 degrees so we let the children sit near the closed Beer Garden to enjoy there cold treat...since there was a nice shade by the brown both..after like 10mins of them eating these oversized Frozen Icys this lady comes out yelling at the kids telling them You have to move, this is private property..you have to move. She was mean, rude and had a mean mug while she addressed the children...the kids didnt speak much English so they were not quick to respond. I turned to her, told her to relax that they were children simply eting ice cream on a really hot day... She again said...'if you have to move this is private property if your not getting on the go karts then you have to leave.' the kids got nervous...one dropped alil of her ice cream...' she says you see this is what I csnt have...Again i replied..you being nasty for no reason these are children. (ages 8,10 & 13) I asked her for her name and she walked away. I later found out she was the owner of the Brooklyn Go Karts...her name i believe was Panny...Horrible Caucasian woman.... I was in shock as it was happenimg n we all couldn't believe how she was acting..like how dare you tell at children who are simply sitting in the shade quietly eating ice cream on a hot day.. her demeanor was horrible..it was soo hot and these where kids ..speak to the parents...be courteous to people bringing money to your area...but her nastiness was so unbelievable... I would never recommend this area to anyone...nor should anyone spend a dime in Luna Park nor In...
