COVID19 May 2020 (sarcasm} Dont read ingredients/expiration dates on their products,- Seems if you're knowledgeable about stores putting the throw back items or about to expire items to the front of the group, (employees work real hard doing that & they are good at it) - Manager will FOLLOW YOU Around on Camera BECAUSE YOU MUST BE STEALING if one is taking so long but not buying the rotten or expired item, Alwayz Reach for the Items to the Back or the Bottom of the Pile, as well as with the canned, frozen & dry goods,- Alwayz Check the $1.00 table, there is Alwayz 1 very rotten item per bag, sometimes more but worth getting compared to the overpriced alleged fresh items - remember you will be watched because most ppl dont do this, because they dont know. - 🐟 FISH dept, you may not want the whole fish but again, better for you to choose what you dont want then for them to choose for you, because they will resell the heads you dont want- or the employees use them{nothing wrong you say, but you're paying for someone elses meals, you should be told that [havent you ever smelled them cooking behind the counter?[oops maybe not I complained about that, an online form very easy], They take the Tails as well WARNING they will also try and SWITCH A FISH ON YOU IF YOU ARE NOT WATCHING THEM {per request of mgemnt] this is easy to do since you cannot see what they are doing; once the head/tails are cut off, how do you know, especially on the large fish). My example is I purchased a whole Salmon stayed and watched them clean the scales off, - why did they keep asking me if I wanted them to cut the head and tail off when I've told them 3x I did not want that, curious🤔, why did they watch me, watching them. I keep all my fish parts, for soup even the bones.✅ PS. I live across the street- have been shopping there for over 2 decades, Im still being watched {you will know this because when you get to the register magically Up Pops the manager standing in front the line you are at obviously looking at you(an observed pattern),✅✅ PSS, thank me for the sidewalk - they kept trying not to put; it took me a couple of years until the photos landed on the desk of someone who cared, even our neighborhood Mr & Mrs politician didnt get the sidewalk put up on Warwick Street bet. Linden/Hegeman Ave., I started that complaint when an 88 year old woman was walking in the street, nothing wrong with that, yes it is, they hadn't had a sidewalk at that time for close to 2 decades. the Moral of this story - ALWAYZ CHECK YOUR PRODUCT's PRICING, EXPIRATION DATE AND QUALITY - I forgot, I did get the politician to check the stores policy of not putting the names of Products on the Receipt,- I wasnt able to tell which item price belong to what item, particularly when I had to return something. But they have been places the names on the receipts for awhile now, credit to Barron's office. Hope this was helpful, I dont eat meat so your on your own there. 🙋🏽‍♀️😷 (Only large selection of fruits & veggies in this area and for the meat eaters to buy their meats before Gateway Mall or Food Bazaar[then there is or were several small fish &...

At first this place was great, for EVERYTHING, that was a couple of years ago. I recently moved back to the area and started shopping here again. The fruits and vegetables are GREAT...the MEAT..Not so much. On several occasions I noticed my meat would have a funny sour oder to them shortly after purchase. Not to mention, they put orange juice on sale 2 for 4 when it is only a week from expiration! The latest incident was about 5 days ago. I purchased some chicken that had a sticker that read it was packed on May 1, 2019. I assumed it was safe. I purchased it on May 3, a Thursday. When I was ready to cook it on May 5 the chicken had such an undeniably foul order coming from the bag I HAD to take it back for a return. The manager was rude and dismissive and told me I needed a receipt, even thou the meat clearly had their packaging on it. I explained I generally dont keep receipts because I usually dont anticipate returning groceries back to the store after purchasing them. I then asked for the owner, but instead the manager let me change the meat. I got steak and lamb instead. I cooked the steak and ate it and a few hours we had lamb for dinner. A few hours later I have food poisoning! I know it was the meat because I got a stomach virus a week before and this place is the only place I get my groceries from in East NY! As previously stated, Ive had to throw away huge amounts of food, including but not limited to beef bacon and pastrami. Its not my refrigerator because we literally got a new fridge with a water and ice dispenser about 2 weeks ago and it works just fine. This is very disappointing that the meat goes stale fast at this store because around this area I find it to be a huge ongoing problem. From now on I have to get my meat from Costco. I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH COSTCO MEATS GOING BAD! It will be costly ...

They’re is this African cashier big woman she has too much attitude for no reason. I buy from This supermarket regularly and I spend over $300 or more in there and I never experienced this type of behavior from any of the cashiers. She told me the bag was for 50cent but because I was rushing I didn’t realize I gave her less than 50cent, she start giving me attitude infront of other customers. Thats unacceptable for a business. And not once I gave her attitude upon til she gave me Attitude. I don’t think you should have a cashier like that on the front line of your business. Because who knows how many other customers she did that to. The attitude was not called for in that situation. If you don’t like your job go home and don’t take it out on customers. Unprofessional. I’m not short an extra 25 cents because I bought full cart of groceries plus I bought buy bags all the time when I come in there. if i gave you less than 50 cent for a stupid bag all you could say miss you’re short for the bag without the attitude. She was so nice to the customers before me and as soon as I came along attitude and I dont know this woman from no where. Lady if you don’t like your job stay home because a lot of ppl out there would like a job and that’s very approachable and professional. You’re on the frontline of someone’s business, the same respect and courtesy you showed the ppl before me you should show everyone, don’t pick and choose who you showing professionalism to because you may never know who you’re dealing with. cant judge a book by its cover. With that stinky attitude you’ll make someone’s business look...

I just bought a box of oxtails and they ripped me off. Not even half of a bag for $100.00. Its not the first time I had order from this location. Never had a problem before. Today was the last time. Very dishonest staff.
