Kayla previously La Lechonera — Restaurant in New York

I went there to purchase food for my mechanic. He gave me money with grease on it unintentionally b/c he had been working on cars all day. I ordered my food and then paid. I had been given my change and was immediately called back as i was leaving. The owner of the establishment indicated that " I dont think A bank would take this" in front of customers. I was very embarrassed. He made it seem as if i gave him a fake bill. A woman worker tried to mediate by saying i could pay next time, but i went back and got another bill, which they still questioned b/c it had some grease on it, but not as much as the 1st one. Horrible !!!

New Owners I brought a family style dinner. Beef stew, White Rice, and Beans. No plantains no salad. The meal came up to $30. I was appalled but the food was already dished out so I'm like ok I'll just take it. I got home and shared the food between myself and my boyfriend. The food was EXTREMELY salty. And not flavorful. You know when a cook over salts the food to try to compensate for flavor. Yes, that. Not only was it expensive for Spanish food it didn't taste good. I'd never buy food from here again. I was better off going a few blocks down to where ATB cab station is and gotten food from the restaurant on that block. Never Again !!!

Love coming to that restaurant... good food, good people 👏 👍 👌 🙌 ❤. Haven't stop coming since I got introduced to that orange & milk drink with the oats, real nice drink, I'll suggest it to any1 who wants something nice & cold to drink in this hot summer heatwave... if you love Spanish food then this is your spot.
