I wanna say thank you….
Finally someone has mastered the art the nail experience. My sister heard of this place and Sid lets go give them a try. BABYYYYY when I tell you I don’t even want to write this review. Dead a$$ I really wan to gate keep this spot. But with social media I’m sure the word will get out soon. Besides I want to really give them there flowers
How ever owns this establishment understands the art of comfort and customer service. From the waiting area to the lash stations, pedicure area and let me not forget about the bar. Yes bar. Not the first time I’ve seen a bar in a nail salon but they elevate the ENTIRE experience. The layout is well thought out. Customer service A+ and the services offered all worth every penny. On this visit I only got my feet done and they needed to be did badly. I chose the number 10 (see my pics for details)and my sister knows me well she laughed when the guy walked away because she knows I’m a sucker for details.
My man came back with a cart and I saw fruit and some type of dried flowers. I’m like what is about to have here😂 He placed a towel on my lap and the menu for me to select a drink. I wasn’t up for a drink so I chose a hot tea. When it was served it was in a glass mug (classy) not the usual paper cup lol.
He turned my massage chair on and pointed to the charger on the chair for my phone. Okay…
He dropped the flowers in the water and began my pedicure. The pedicure consisted of some of the usual steps and some new ones as well. Remember that fruit well it was some orange slices and at one point he literally took them and massaged my legs and feet with them. At some point my legs got a scrub and wrapped in hot towels with a steamer pointed at them.
Every turn of this experience was great. Funny story a lady across for us saw me look up and she waved at me and said “what’s that called that we were having done I told her the number 10 lol. She told them I want THAT!!!
Anyway, the whole experience was just that an experience when it was over I gave a him a $20 tip and said I’ll definitely be back. It s a little pricy but worth it.
I see some negative reviews and that’s unfortunate. I can only speak for my experience.
Customer serves excellent he took his time not rushing and was experienced. Not someone experimenting/learning on your dime. The owners of the salon definitely have experience in the game and executed it. im going to get my nails done next….. so to...
Read moreMy main question for this salon is regarding their protocol for handling nail fungus. If a person has a nail fungus, what steps does your establishment take to address it? Do you still provide services to this individual, or do you recommend that they seek treatment from a podiatrist? What measures do you take to ensure proper care and hygiene within your establishment?
As someone who works in the medical field, I was concerned by what I witnessed during my visit. I did not see any sanitization of tools or the pedicure soaking bowl. Additionally, I observed my nail technician trying to use the same nail polish that had been applied to a client with visible nail fungus on me, and I immediately declined. This lack of attention to hygiene raises serious concerns about the standards at this establishment. To make matters worse, just four minutes after the client with the fungus was removed from the pedicure seat, another client was immediately placed there, unaware that they could potentially develop a fungus as well. This experience strongly suggests that the hygiene practices at this salon do not meet acceptable standards.
There should be disposable nail polish containers, allowing clients to select their preferred color, along with a disposable brush and palette for the polish. Nothing should be shared at all. As for tools, this establishment should be using sterilized tools for each client. This is crucial to ensure safety and prevent the spread of infections.
A message to all clients: bring your own nail polish, nail file, nail clippers, and cuticle cutters. This establishment is nicely designed, and the complimentary drinks and snacks are great, but take your health into your own hands—you are your only advocate. Additionally, if you know you have a fungus on your toes, consider having your nails cut and treated by a podiatrist or at a...
Read moreI have to agree with a few of these reviews unfortunately, I also shared a similar experience today. I liked gateway nail salon because of the aesthetics and complementary services provided. It’s is a nice touch; something different. However, my second visit was very disappointing. My first visit was a pedicure. My technician was pleasant and paid attention to details of my service so I decided to return after not being able to get to my regular nail salon. Today was my second visit. I decided I would try gel extensions and a pedicure. During my service I had to explain how I wanted my nail to look. I felt the communication was broken from time to time but nothing serious as we took the time to communicate. I asked the technician to address small details about her work and how she shaped the nail as well as the thickness of the nail. I was gently told that I was difficult and she doesn’t want to do my nails next time. I politely told her I had no problem with that. I paid for the service and I I shared my experience with the tech and the representatives at the register. They were very helpful and willing to assist. I will provide an update on the resolution. Stay tuned…I don’t know when it became acceptable to pay for a services I didn’t ask for.
Follow up: I received a pedicure on June 23 (I paid for a royal pedi with other add ons minus the gel nail service). Not every encounter will have the same outcome. Don’t ignore subtle disrespect, address the problem immediately, with the appropriate person(s) calmly. Good luck and bring...
