Updated: Sept. 19, 2025. I decided to change rating to 2 because I had to pay over $300 when I thoroughly explained if I had needed to pay a copayment when I have Medicare which is primary, they also billed my secondary insurance. They told me many times at the office don't need to pay. Five months later, I received a number of text messages of amount owed for copayments. I called office about two weeks ago and talked to the Clinical Coordinater Dolly Patel, who said not to worry and not pay until she finds out. I called today to follow up with the billing department and they told me had to pay and also called and I also called Throgs Neck office who said had to pay because of copayments, mind you for over 5 months they said I need not pay as I was attending therapy. Ms. Paul never called me or follow up with me, which is unprofessional, if you are running a business. I called my secondary insurance and said, some do send billing to see if they can get pay even though they may have said don't accept GHI /Out of network, so they can get pay either way. That is why I gave a 2. Patient if you have Medicare and secondary insurance do make sure you follow up, if you need to pay a copayment and insist that they follow up with billing department before you get a bill like I did. They have very poor record keeping.
May 15, 2025: The service and their professionalism were outstanding. The staff as I entered were so caring and friendly with a wonderful smile as I was greeted. The therapist, Ms. Deepa Paul, was very caring and explained how my therapy was going to help me during my time for therapy. She explained to me as she provided therapy on my shoulders, arm movements. I can't be more pleased with her help on my first visit. The whole staff on my first visit was totally helpful and professional. Thank you, Hands on Physical Therapy for your help and encouragement to continue with my therapy as I...

Read moreThis was my first time at Hands-On Physical Therapy. From reception to gym time, I felt welcomed, heard, understood, cared for, and respected. Each staff member from the administrative staff, to my physical therapist, to my gym coach made me feel confident in the process of receiving help, understanding my issues, and explaining the process. The reception staff explained how to complete the paperwork and willingly answered any questions I had. It was clear they were knowledgelable while being willing to help. During the hands-on portion with my physical therapist, I was eased into the exercises with my PT constantly checking that I was okay and not feeling any pain. I appreciated her down-to-earth approach as we could also laugh during the process. She took notes while I related my pain points, demonstrated with visuals how specific points on my body connect and what that would mean for my healing. My gym coach demonstrated each move I would need to take and was patient with me as I tried to replicate what she modeled for me. At no time did she leave me alone or waiting in between moves, even though she was attending to multiple patients. Overall, after this first experience, I believe I can trust this facility with my PT needs. I already feel so much better after only...
