My father came to visit to NYC and went to visit the museum. When asked for an ID he was told that a Governmental ID from Spain was not sufficient that he needed a passport with a visa stamp. He doesn't walk around the city with his passport nor this has ever been a requirement for any tourist to visit a museum, plus he had an official photo ID with him. He wasted an 1 hour+ ride in a bus and came back totally disappointed. The guards at the museum where not friendly either. They have to work on their personal treatment to visitors...
