My father came to visit to NYC and went to visit the museum. When asked for an ID he was told that a Governmental ID from Spain was not sufficient that he needed a passport with a visa stamp. He doesn't walk around the city with his passport nor this has ever been a requirement for any tourist to visit a museum, plus he had an official photo ID with him. He wasted an 1 hour+ ride in a bus and came back totally disappointed. The guards at the museum where not friendly either. They have to work on their personal treatment to visitors...

Nice free museum run by volunteers with lots of knowledge about the history of Fort Hamilton and the United States. The volunteers are friendly and will answer whatever questions you have as they guide you through the museum. You must be aware that it is on an active military installation and you must have ID to get on the base. Foreign Nationals interested in visiting should call ahead to ascertain what they need in terms of ID to...

Why does Fort Hamilton honor General Lee? He was a confederate, that fought against the union, I'm I correct? So in modern terms General Lee was a terrorist. Does Fort. Hamilton honor terrorists?
