Philadelphia Grill — Restaurant in New York

Ordered delivery yesterday because the water in my building was turned off (without notice!) and so cooking was not happening. I read some reviews first and was pretty convinced based off those alone (except for that guy who ate like 1/3 of his cheesesteak and then took a picture of what was left and said he overpaid for too small of a cheesesteak. What planet is he on?).

Placing the order was a breeze, and the person on the other end of the phone couldn't have been nicer! The delivery arrived in less time than anticipated. Finally, food was great! Husband and I were both happy with the Philly cheesesteak (with the works) and the onion rings. The price was very reasonable as well.

Great experience and adding this place to our list of takeout restaurant rotations....

I’ve been from eating here for at least the last 15 years and it pains me to say this but I’ll never order from here again. Aside from the fact that a sandwich now costs $12.50 (up from the $8.50 a few years ago) the quality of product has gone down. The reason I’m done eating here is that I ordered a sandwich on Monday March 29 and have been suffering from food poisoning since. The sandwich was extremely greasy and the meat was a little tough but hey it’s a cheesesteak so I chalked it up. I hate to point fingers but this was the only thing I ate differently from my family that day so if there’s only one conclusion I can draw, I got sick from that sandwich. I hate to knock a Brooklyn staple but I needed...

Very good pizza, especially the specialty pies, which are medium-sized. Be sure to try the eggplant rollatini. Not overpriced at all, despite what these (probably bogus) reviews say. 8/21 -- I do have to add that the last time I was in there, despite a sign asking customers to wear masks, none of the three employees handling my food were. And I got a delivery which included my favorite, eggplant rollatini. -- The eggplant was literally rotten. I'm giving them a break, hoping they'll return to their usual fine standard. 7/23 -- the food just wasn't as good as it had been. They had not returned to their previous goodness.
