It's a park, what can I say? John Paul Jones park is located in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn, adjacent to the Verrazano Bridge and the Belt Parkway entrance. This is not a dog park, but there is a small area that is frequently used by dog owners. There is a small walking path, maybe a half mile altogether, that goes around and through the park. You'll see an obelisk dedicated to the US Navy, and an early canon from the Revolutionary War, with cannon balls stayed all around it. If driving, the park is not accessible from 4th avenue. You have to drive down to Fort Hamilton Parkway, take a right at the end of the road on 101st street, add you're there!

There’s a cannon in the park, let us embark, so in the end we’re not left with a question mark, to comprehend how this landmark had its true name seemingly stolen in the dark, actually ripped away from this pretty park. Cannon ball park was once the name of this place, the parks department installed a sign and the original name vanished without a trace. I say let’s all get together and embrace, the real name of this place, something they could never from our minds erase. Cannon Ball Park

I usually walk there from Bay Pkwy whenever I get a chance nice to take pictures you see people take wedding pictures or videos the atmosphere is quiet people are also there exercising or just sitting there reading or just hanging out you get a great view of the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge went at night to take pictures and it's pretty safe there were mostly fishermen fishing nearby is Pizzaria Uno or some small coffee shops to get breakfast Lunch or dinner

This Park is in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn next to the Army Base. We call it Cannon Ball Park. I've grown up here in Bay Ridge and as a Teen they had a different fence that had a hole in it we would hang out behind the Bridge where it has a Beautiful Green Acre of Trees and Grass and we would listen to our Music and Play Card Games and also climb the Bridge and walk on the Catwalk. When I became a parent we would have Picnics (Barbecuing is not allowed) my Boys Loved to climb onto the Cannon and the Balls. It's a nice serene park to read, lay down on the grass or benches and let...
