Aris Pollos A La Brasa — Restaurant in New York

I used to come here on a regular basis and the food was pretty solid. I just came from there and the service was TERRIBLE. All I wanted was ONE whole roasted chicken. Seems like an easy request, right? Wrong! I'm standing there for over 15 mins while all of the workers are working on other orders. I gave my request to one person and she said, "Wait one minute." She was then pulled in different directions and my request got lost in the shuffle, and when I would try to get other workers attention, they either were too busy to deal with me, or would ignore my outright. So, I went to the counter and asked, "I put my whole chicken order in, did anyone take care of my request?" The woman looked like I asked her for deer feces on a stick. They ALMOST gave away my chicken that I ordered (no over 25 minutes ago) well before other people put in their orders because they weren't paying ANY attention. I guess you have to be Spanish in order to get attention from people at this place. I finally got my chicken and it was still good, but more expensive than it was in the past.

Save yourself and your time being wasted coming here. There are plenty of other chicken places that are much better and treat people better than this place.

You literally have to say something to get service in this place. I was standing for a total of 10 minutes and 17 seconds timed untill I had to tell the cash register clerk what I had to do to get service and he panicked and told me to sit and had a short lady with me immediately.. Totally unnecessary that wait, I felt invisible. Waiters don't come back to check on you; only if you call them to order something else. Their are also guys drinking at a bar that is placed in the middle of the place with loud music that is only pleasing to who ever is drinking there... Other than that to food is edible...

I'm all for small owned businesses, but there's no excuse for serving old cold food. Will never go here again. As I was walking out from paying for my cuchifritos, this guy walked to behind the counter with seasoned raw chicken in a nasty dirty plastic basket which obviously holds all the chicken they're going to cook. By the looks of it, you can be assured that basket was either never cleaned or hasn't been cleaned in a really long time. Health inspectors will need to check them out and if they do, I bet their health code rating would...
