Captain Tilly park is the best neighbourhood park in Jamaica Hillside area. A nice pond, little hill area and charming ducks all around the park to welcome you.

The park has great potential and has so many historical monuments within the park but it's grossly overshadowed by garbage and being under kept generally. The wildlife there is easy to spot and takes you a bit away from the hustle bustle of our everyday NY streets it's nice to watch the ducks and birds go by or catch a turtle bobbing on the surface of the pond. I'd love if there was more community involvement if possible... making that happen if funding is what's preventing that I think would be a great way to turn this place around.

Good place to walk in the neighborhood but the pond is kind of dirty & bathrooms too. I usually used a park for a shortcut on bike .Now Horses are hard to find in Queens thats five years ago pic.There are many beautiful parks in NYC so if you don’t live nearby then it won’t be a wise place to visit.
