I got married at city hall three weeks ago. I'm from London and had been planning my wedding from the UK for about 6 months. I contacted Langdon via email several times before I arrived in New York, to confirm the button hole and bouquet that I wanted. I sent photos, it was a really basic, simple bouquet. They were really quick to respond on email and everything seemed to be going well. When I got to NYC (3 days before my wedding) I went down to the florist and confirmed my order, in person and reiterated what time I wanted to collect etc. Wedding morning 9am, I arrive at Langdon's, in my wedding dress, ready to get married, to be met by shrugs and a whole load of confusion. My flowers were not ready, they hadn't even been made. A man that worked there kept checking his computer, rereading my emails and shaking his head. I have no idea what happened.... I got quite upset, understandably. so they hastily threw together a bouquet and button hole. Literally it took less than 3 minutes. I voiced my dissatisfaction and they kindly let me pay half price ($60) for a shoddy, thrown together bouquet (that didn't stay intact for the day). I'm actually still shocked that they took payment from me for what they provided. All the while I was in tears, in my wedding dress. Terrible service, terrible...
Read moreWe were celebrating my wife's 55 th birthday We had heard about Langdon Florist from a friend .Let me first say customer service was outstanding they actually took us into the basement work room to look at flowers and different vases for the table displays and wall sconces .My wife wanted a specific color of flowers for her party Joe and his daughter were so obliging and helpful in picking out beautiful flowers and arrangements They even did beautiful ballon columns as well my wife's name in balloons .They promised us that they would decorate the room with flowers and ballons( party was at the Stone House Fireplace room ) The day of the party the room was AMAZING. Joe and his team did a fantastic job and everyone in the party was blown away by how beautiful the flowers were and how the room was decorated .There were no flowers left by the end of party and that includes the wall sconces arrangements We are still getting back pictures and comments on the flowers .Thank you so much to Joe and your entire staff...
Read moreI ordered a rose bouquet for my wife's birthday (over the phone) and was told that the minimum for delivery was $50. Fine. I placed my order, provided a personal message to accompany the card, and gave explicit address information including the name of my wife's company. After speaking with my wife, I learned that the delivery driver had difficulty in locating the address and had to call her a couple of times prior to delivery, which removed the element of surprise. After the bouquet was delivered, my personal, loving message had typos and grammatical errors to the point where reading it was comical.
On the surface, these issues would not be a big deal but a company in the business of delivering flowers should get the basics down.
I don't think that I will patron this company again - maybe if I visit the store in person and personally oversee the details of my purchase. But then again, who has time for that. A request by phone should suffice and ensure...
