Very unpleasant visit. To be in a place of care and to have no one actually care is a problem here. I was scheduled for 2 ultra sounds. I was told my referral was only for one. I contacted my referral source to confirm and provide both refferal codes the front desk ignored me and tech conducting ultra sound refused to speak to my insurance carrier over the phone although she wasted time to speak one of the many random staff at my specialist office who could not provide the verification I was authorizing her to receive from the actual person who put the order in for my appointment. Also the ultrasound tech ignored the multiple times I told her i can’t hold the urine. Once as she pressed on my bladder then told me to wait 15 more minutes until it fills more, then I asked the front desk agent to tell her I cannot hold the unrine, then as I went in the back I reminded her again that I can not hold the urine any longer and she please conduct the test. By the time she finally started pressing on my bladder I urinated on myself which they thought was funny. I stopped responding because I was so upset and I didn’t want to speak while I’m upset. The manager who came and took the authorization over the phone was very nice even offered to wash my clothing but I was so upset with the staff below her and wanted to get out of there that I left wearing just the gown. Read moreThey inundated me with a dozen texts and emails (literally!), telling me to arrive 20 minutes early for my appointment. Then they kept me waiting for almost 1 hour before I was finally called back for my radiology scan.
Also, they repeatedly stressed the need to bring my doctor's order - even though I uploaded it to the portal days prior to my appointment - and threatened that I might not be able to receive my scan if I didn't bring the order. When I checked in and the woman didn't ask for the order, I offered it to her, and she declined it, saying they already had it in the system. Duh!
Finally, someone who was clearly a trainee did my scan while another woman sat in the room on the computer. This trainee took a hundred images and kept having me inhale and hold my breath until I was dizzy. She kept promising that she was almost done and then proceeded to take a hundred more. When she was finally done, she asked the woman to check her imaging and the woman basically did the entire scan over from scratch! So the appointment took an unnecessarily long time btwn the 1 hour wait and the guinea pig practice followed by the actual scan. This was my first time going to this location and I would never go back, based on this experience.

Read moreThis was my first experience with Lenox Hill Radiology. I've dealt with Emblem HIP my whole life. I would like to start with the fact that a referral was not needed with Lenox Hill, all I needed was the doctor's script, which made life much easier. Thank you Lenox Hill. I needed a mammogram and a breast sonogram and bone density test. I was not instructed when I made the three appointments, so when I arrived on the scheduled date for my tests I could not take the bone density test because I had taken my daily vitamins and I was not instructed not to do so. I had to reschedule that test. When I moved forward to take the mammogram the tech was sick with the "FLU", I was told by her supervisor I suppose, her head was down on the table and although apologetic I had no desire to be tested by someone so ill. The supervisor asked me to wait until she was available to perform the mammogram, so I waited. With Emblem HIP the equipment was ALWAYS wiped down and sterilized in my presence, there was no wiping down anything with Lenox Hill.
