Would you take food that had already been delivered to someone else????? I can’t recommend this place! I ended up getting takeout from Kantu. I would give no stars if possible.
Here’s the full story: I ordered here for pickup and when I arrived they told me the delivery man took my order with him. They asked me to wait because according to the woman assisting me the man would be back soon with my order as they had supposedly contacted him and asked him to bring it back. I foolishly waited for about 20 minutes and when the delivery man came back he said that he gave the order away. I was upset that they made me wait for an order that they ended up giving away after reassuring me that it would be sent back. I told them to forget it and cancel the order. The woman told me that she canceled the order but when I called grubhub to confirm they told me that the order wasn’t cancelled. As I contacted customer service to resolve the issue myself, the delivery man went back to deliver the right order and ended up retrieving my order that he had accidentally delivered to someone else. Then they tried to give me the food after it had already been delivered to someone else! I don’t even know if the other person opened it when it...
Read moreI ate here for the first time yesterday(1.22. 2024) around 4 pm. The waitress was courteous and knowledgeable about Peruvian dishes. I had in mind to order tallarínes verdes however she let me know they had seco de carne ( which not too many Peruvian restaurants have). I decided to try it and I was delighted. The meat was soft and fresh. She also offered hot drinks and to my surprised she offered Emoliente which is also another drink I have not found in Queens and it was delicious!
I have always said it , a good restaurant depends on good chefs, the treatment is essential but the cooking crucial. I am a big foodie and I am always trying to find yummy Peruvian spots. The place was cozy and thankfully not overcrowded. The tamal I ordered was also super homemade, made me feel as if I was in Lima.
Hoping you guys soon make Aji de Gallina and Carapulcra !
Excellent service and...

The ambience? Impeccable. It's like stepping into a sleek, modern dream where someone’s abuela is still running the kitchen. The food is unapologetically authentic—each bite feels like a love letter to tradition wrapped in a contemporary vibe.
Now, let’s talk about that green sauce. Whoever invented it deserves a Nobel Prize. I wanted to pour it on everything: my fries, my existential dread. Can I put it in my coffee? Probably not. Will I? Still debating.
Service was top-notch—warm, attentive, and somehow intuitive. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, and let me tell you, it’s rare to meet people so genuinely dedicated to their craft and their customers. Passion like that can’t be faked—it’s infused into every plate.
Oh, and did I mention the food is incredible? Of course I did. But it’s worth repeating—because it...
