Title: Five Stars Review for Home Depot in Woodhaven, Queens, NYC: Review: I've frequented the Home Depot in Woodhaven, Queens, for over a decade, making it my prime choice for home improvement needs. Ideally situated in a bustling part of Queens, its location boasts easy access for drivers and those reliant on public transportation. The sheer convenience this store offers goes beyond its favorable location. When smaller neighborhood stores come up short, this Home Depot has repeatedly proven its mettle. Their inventory is impressively vast, covering everything from cordless tools, and kitchen and bathroom essentials, to an array of lawn and garden supplies and so much more. I've been particularly taken with their comprehensive collection of cordless tools, and their paint department is a veritable rainbow, offering many products and shades suitable for any project. An organized layout paired with well-displayed products makes every visit streamlined. The commendable cleanliness and orderliness contribute to a positive atmosphere, ensuring that shopping isn't just efficient and pleasant. The knowledgeable and amiable staff are ever-ready to guide customers, adding to the seamless experience. With an expansive parking area, this store guarantees a stress-free start and finish to your shopping trip. And for garden enthusiasts, their supply section is a haven catering to both novices and seasoned gardeners. Highlighting some of its standout features: 1. Variety: Its spectrum of products, from building materials, furniture, and appliances to electrical supplies, is unmatched. 2. Services: Their tool rental service and garden center are a testament to their commitment to cater to all facets of home improvement. 3. Location: Its strategic placement in a lively area of Queens, coupled with the ease of public transport accessibility, renders it a top choice for many. 4. Customer Experience: Between the organized layout, the array of shopping options like online ordering, curbside pickup, and delivery, and the dedicated staff, they've set an unparalleled standard. To summarize, the Home Depot in Woodhaven stands as a beacon for all home improvement enthusiasts. Their meticulously curated sections, from cordless tools to the vibrant paint aisles, combined with an environment of impeccable cleanliness and order, make it more than just a store—it's a shopping sanctuary. Their unwavering dedication to customer service and satisfaction sets them leagues apart. It is heartily recommended!

My last trip to this Home Depot was really the last time, and it's not that there was anything specific that set it off, but just the realization that I've never really left this particular Home Depot and felt like I enjoyed or even had an easy going experience here. The store is definitely a little messier than your average Home Depot, not a lot but absolutely messy when you look at the shelves, the inventory always just a little below or missing the one piece you need, and the staff just a little more indifferent than other Home Depot's. I don't really expect much from chain stores, but this one is so underwhelming it begs the question why do I bother when I can just get everything from Amazon? I mean the last thing I want to do is give Jeff Bezos more money, but if a store treats you worse than Amazon, and offers no convenience then what's the difference. At least Bezos gives us next day shipping. The last time I was there I was told there are no shopping bags, none, not a tote or a plastic bag to carry my purchases. To be fair there is one staffer there that does almost make me want to go back for just my plumbing needs, an older women, who from her accent seems to be of eastern european descent, who while sometimes curt, is always happy to offer advice or assistance in the plumbing section. She seems to always be around, is always stocking or helping multiple customers at once, and just great overall, but that's it, she earns them two stars alone. Haven't had any great experience when buying paint, or lumber, or electrical, or anything. So ask yourself, if a company doesn't seem to want your business then why give it to them?

BEWARE WHEN BUYING TOOLS. I bought a BRAND NEW DeWalt automatic 20V cordless circular saw and when I opened it up, I found it was COMPLETELY USED. And not just lightly, this thing looks like it's been through the wringer! When I purchased it I watched the employee unlock the cage and grab this seemingly unopened and new looking box from it. So I'm just going to assume some employee stole the new one and swapped it out for this used one because it was behind a LOCKED CAGE. Unfortunately I can't return it because it's been months since I bought it (only got around to the project I needed it for now, so I didn't open the box since January). I don't normally do reviews, but this just takes the cake and now I'm out the money to buy an actual new tool that I really needed.

This Home Depot made me a customer for life. Lowe's who?! Never heard of them!

I purchased $148 worth of moving and cleaning supplies only to find myself home with just the cardboard boxes (totaling maybe $40). The boxes were awkward and I struggled to get them through the parking lot as I had no choice but to lay them flat over the cart (hiding the $100+ worth of other items I had bought). I had to rearrange things to make them fit, and in adjusting my car seats and adjusting the mirrors so I could see past them, I forgot about the other items in the cart and drove home. I was back at the store 1 hour after my purchase, and while they had just closed, I circled the parking lot by car and foot a few times, with no luck. I had called on my way and the person stated no one had returned the items to the store. I thought I was SOL.

I was wrong! The AM, Michelle, looked into my situation with no hesitation and ultimately granted me permission to go and replace the items I left free of charge. This gesture from the store absolutely made my day and made me a customer for life!

Huge thanks to Michelle and team for caring when they could have easily pointed me to filing a useless police report. It wasn't just the principle of wanting karma for the person who found the items and did the wrong thing, but that I NEEDED the items I purchased! The store came through despite my forgetfulness being the root cause of my problem 🙏🏻 ACE HARDWARE WOULD NEVER!

I would especially like to thank the young latino (I'm sorry I asked for your name and still forgot it, like I forgot the items in my cart 🥲) for his help because at first I was told by two older men working in customer service that there was nothing anyone could do even with the receipt.

On top of everything, I accidentally threw out the receipt (I'm a mess and very self-aware of my role in this scenario, which is why I am even that much more grateful and writing this!!).

When I first came in the store and went to Customer Service, my first question before even getting into the details of my embarrassing mishap, was whether they could lookup the receipt if I made the purchase using Apple Pay and no rewards account linked to the receipt, to which two much older gentlemen said it wasn't possible. I ultimately proved this wrong, but fine, it's possible the store didn't know they they could. No harm no foul. But I then explained my scenario to them and they told me they could possibly be able to look at cameras even if I had the receipt but it "wouldn't do anything because this type of stuff happens all the time here". They apologized, said they couldn't help and I left.

I thanked them, went to the parking lot, and one phone call to Home Depot general customer service and 20 minutes later - I had my duplicate receipt emailed!!

With one hurdle out of the way, I went back into the store, still not hopeful for any best case scenario. But now that I had the receipt, I wasn't giving up on asking for any type of help with retrieving the items.

I was called over by the youngest of 3 males (looked 18-24 at most and that's pushing it) and explained my situation. One of the elder employees (boomer - definitely a boomer) interjected from his register to shout he "already told me the answer to that question" at me. I politely said "no, you told me you couldn't print the receipt, I have the receipt and now I have a different question".

However, the young man immediately called Assistant Manager, Michelle, and explained the situation. As I waited for her to investigate, the young man made small talk about the situation and gave me comfort by saying he wasn't sure but he thought I was going to get my items back.

It's not everyday we commend those in customer service who do the right thing, and having worked across various service industries for 10+ years; THIS, my friend, is how you gain a lifelong customer!! Best believe instagram knows how awesome Home Depot is and everyone close to me is happy about the update! Faith in humanity is...

To all the first-time home owners, this review is for you: -Cabinets went to the wrong Home Depot location. The kitchen designer at store #1220, where I purchased the cabinets and all kitchen items, kept saying that the cabinets were not at their location even though I would get multiple phone calls and voicemails from Home Depot stating that the cabinets arrived and I needed to schedule a pick up. -While I was trying to figure out why I was getting these phone calls, no one responds to email, it is impossible to get anyone on the phone and there is no voicemail system. It took two weeks for me to figure out that the cabinets were sent to a different store and I needed to set up a delivery from that location. -On July 21, 2019 I wanted to confirm with my kitchen designer that Gotham Builders could bring up all the cabinets to our apartment. I have in writing that Home Depot would work with our contractor Gotham Builders to bring up all purchased items (cabinets, appliances and miscellaneous materials). I was told by my kitchen designer that our contractor can no longer provide this service. I called Gotham Builders and spoke with the operations manager. According to Jackie, Gotham Builders has never brought in any kitchen appliances delivered by Home Depot because it creates a liability for their business. Understandable. In April, when we spent $20,000 with your company,Home Depot and Gotham Builders "do this all the time" and it would not be a problem. Clearly, it is a problem. -On July 26, 2019, cabinets were delivered. Home Depot deliveryman showed up and dropped of five pallets of cabinets and appliances outside of our building. Luckily, I was able to pay some of the members of the facility team in my building to bring up these items. -July 30, 2019, I received a phone call from deliveryman that he is 10 min away with fillers that were not in original delivery- again no confirmation that I was getting a delivery. I told the delivery man that I could not accept this delivery. -July 31, 2019, I confirmed with Jason, manager at store #1220, that I would receive fillers on Friday August 2. I took a day off from work on August 2, 2019. -August 1, I received a phone call from Jason that the wrong fillers were ordered and that they put in a request for new order - takes 3 weeks to get new fillers. -After the conversation with Jason on August 1, I received a call on Friday August 2nd that they have two packages being delivered and on its way. Despite Jason stating that I did not have a delivery, I did in fact have a delivery. Luckily, I took the day off from work. -On June 25th I received email confirmation that all appliances were in and will be delivered on August 23rd. On August 8, I received a phone call from the fabricators that they cannot take measurements for countertop without all appliances in. I called Home Depot to move up the delivery date to August 16th. I received a follow up phone call that the refrigerator is on back order until September 25th. How can I get a confirmation that all appliances are in with a delivery date and then find out a month and a half later the refrigerator is not in and on backorder? Stove, microwave and dishwasher will be delivered on August 15th. -I decided to cancel my order for the refrigerator with Home Depot. I found the same refrigerator with P.C. Richards and it was $100 cheaper. -September25, 2019- upper cabinets installed incorrectly. October 21, 2019 Home Depot delivers molding. I received three boxes, two of which were soaking wet. I guess they were left out in the rain the day before.

I was promised by the manager of the kitchen department that I would get a refund of at least $500. I was told by Jason the store manager that I would receive a phone call once the work was complete to discuss this refund. Neither the phone call or refund happened. So, I wrote a letter. I sent it out to any email I could find and I got a phone call from customer service the next day and I was given a $250 gift card. I am not sure if I...

I brought a Christmas tree on November, I decided to return it because the branches was damaged and the price was better I checked my receipt and it said 90 days i even call customer service before I got to the store. When I got there the lady name Elizabeth was very rude and nasty open the box and told me is season product is different policy but I didn’t see anything like that on the receipt i decided to call customer support again and at this point she was saying things like everyone always return things after they used it customer support ask me for her name and she replied very nasty again and the 2 guys there make a comment like don’t Elizabeth don’t pay attention to her she wants a battle I was confused the customer support online ask me again if those are customers service in the store I replied yes thank one of the guy said to me I know this country was going down the shit referring to me because I’m Hispanic I told the customer service online that I wanna go and leave the tree there for them Even if I lose my money she told me to wait for the manager. When the manager arrived explain to me that because is Christmas pass the season pass he can only give me store credit. He was nice an polity I toook the credit because I was shaking at this point I didn’t feel save in the store they way I was being treated was so bad so I took the credit I like the tree if they will have another one I won’t mind exchanging but they didn’t have it! I will love to Home Depot to review the policy because today was I unnecessary even, comment and that’s not the right way to talk to a customer or make those uncomfortable comments! I never feel so uncomfortable i don’t believe in using the race card but today with those comments i was so disgusted not only because was saying to me because they were working class people just like me! This is my first time buying a Christmas tree and i would never wanna step foot in this location again I can’t say that everyone is like that but the to guys today and that lady name Elizabeth doesn’t deserve to work dealing with customers. The assistant manager was nice he told me that he will addressed those concerns and he apologized. Again because the policy in the receipt or the store doesn’t have any signs when you buy this product I only when to the store because it was my right and the frame time of my receipt… But I never imagine that I was gonna be insulted and treated so badly basically saying that I can to destroy the country I didn’t know that Home Depot is an immigration center! Even worse because a least there they treated you...
