We went for a date night for Valentine’s Day but the day after due to babysitting restraints. We ordered the market value lobster which came with a side for $55. We ordered the stuffed calamari, we ordered the mixed dips and my husband ordered the sausage with gnocchi. We had two cocktails and Everything was perfection. When the busgirl or came to see if we wanted anything to go, I clearly said to box up my lobster, and then she threw it out. She came back and she was like oh you wanted that to go? And I was like, of course! Then the waitress came and said, I think they accidentally threw out your lobster, and I asked for another Lobster since I didn’t even eat 30% of it, and she was like well. We can take it off the bill. I can’t even deal, That’s a really nice gesture, but where is my lobster? Like I didn’t even eat half of the lobster. Thank goodness (?) They took it off the bill and they gave us drinks on the house. They were very apologetic. I’m just really shocked that that even happened Without being 100% fixed. I would recommend the place , but like be very clear that when you don’t eat your food, you want it to go! like they gave us everything else to go, including like the two drops of my husbands pasta sauce, we ended up just being a waste of plastic because who wants two drops of pasta sauce when you just threw out a lobster, because they literally threw out a $60 lobster. Growing pains of a restaurant but I’m literally sitting at home hungry right now because some girl thought I would throw out a lobster. Sorry I guess I’m just shocked.

Restaurant Review: Meli Estiatorio in Forest Hills Meli Estiatorio is a stunning new addition to Forest Hills, offering an unforgettable Greek dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a Mediterranean paradise. The décor is breathtaking, with vibrant flowers cascading from the ceiling and a huge, inviting bar anchoring the space. A DJ was spinning great music, adding a lively, upscale vibe to the evening. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and freshness. The oysters were unbelievably fresh, the octopus perfectly tender and flavorful, and the saganaki was a showstopper. Their extensive menu of Greek specialties left us wanting to try everything. The Dover sole, however, stole the show—easily the freshest, most delicious preparation I’ve ever had. Make sure to save room for dessert because Meli’s Greek offerings are divine, the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and impressively seamless, especially for opening night. It’s rare to see a restaurant operating so smoothly right out of the gate. Plus, the added convenience of valet parking makes the experience even better. Meli Estiatorio is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Greek cuisine in a gorgeous setting. I can’t wait to go back!

This Greek restaurant is a fantastic spot for an unforgettable dining experience. The service is excellent and friendly, attentive, and never overbearing. The food is amazing, with every dish packed full of flavor. You can really taste how fresh the ingredients are, especially with the live seafood display, which is such a nice touch. The interior is beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and enjoy your meal. The menu is extensive, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into classic Greek dishes or something a little different. And the live DJ adds the perfect vibe, making the whole experience even better. Great food, great atmosphere, and great entertainment, I’ll definitely be back!

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Meli Estiatorio for their opening week! I must say that they have it all! From the customer service, drinks, food, and overall ambiance they’re definitely a must try spot for a foodie!

We were greeted by a lovely hostess and sat promptly. I personally liked that they referred to me by name! Nice touch!

Once seated, we started off with the “Melitini” (delicious if you enjoy a sweet beverage) and a classic passionfruit margarita. The drinks were the perfect portion of alcohol and additives. We then ordered the “Meli Chips” and the “Pikilia” as well as some pita bread. I am not greek nor have ever tried Greek cuisine, but it did NOT disappoint!

For our entrees we ordered the lemon chicken entree and the Salmon. I LOVED the fingerling potatoes. My partner enjoyed the salmon and he ordered a side of the lemon potato, which he devoured! Haha.

To end our dinner we ordered a brownie to share and it was so moist! You could tell it was fresh!

Overall our experience was very pleasant. The owners and management also made their way over to thank us for joining them. It was very much a personable experience!

We will definitely be back!! Thank you for the great food...
