What an unexpected joy! I honestly did not know what to expect from a virtual magic show. It was my son’s second pandemic birthday and it was heartbreaking to try and plan something after promising ‘6’ would be so huge to make up for a lost ‘5th’ birthday. We decided to take a chance and try this magic show. While I looked through Magical Dave’s website, I still had a hard time picturing it. Most of the 6 year olds joining our Zoom are also fully remote learning, so I was nervous they would not enjoy. And my goodness... I wish I could have wrapped all those giggles up for eternity! Magical Dave was so funny and entertaining. His ability to read the crowd through a screen was special. He gave kids the ability to participate and laugh. It was just a joy! He mentioned my son’s name multiple times, had him call on a friend and made it known he was the birthday boy. I wound up with a Friday night time and could not have been happier with that time. I sent out the email saying to get your popcorn, grab your family and head to the couch. Many parents reach out out after saying how their kids and themselves, giggled the whole time. It was so refreshing. Simply joyful!...

We hired Magical Dave for my son Miles' 5th Birthday Party and boy did he (over) deliver! Magical Dave came prepared with lots of magic tricks but the most impressive spell he cast was "the charm" spell over our audience. A room of 40 kids were INSTANTLY enraptured by Magical Dave's performance. They were hanging on his every word, interacting with his show and most importantly LAUGHING...laughing VERY hard. Several parents came up to me after the show and said they heard their kid make laughing sounds so strong they had never heard them before! One of the Dads texted me mid-performance "This guy could sell out MSG." And we can't forget Marshmallow the live Bunny who really did take everything to the next level. The kids were so excited to pet Marshmallow after the show. I also just want to mention that my son really got to be the star of the show AND enjoyed it. I was nervous my son might be feeling a little shy, but Magical Dave introduced himself to Miles before the performance and spent some time with him so when it was time for Miles to join him on stage everything went off without a hitch.
