Update 3:
This gym still somehow manages to disappoint. The cable machine under the staircase leading to the studios, the same machine that is designed to have TWO functioning cables at all times, has an “out of order” sign on one of the sides for more than a month. Are you guys serious? This should tell you just how much they care about their client’s experience at the gym. There is absolutely no excuse as to why it takes so long to fix such a popular machine in the gym. I also haven’t mentioned the oos pec deck machine next to the other staircase, but it’s not as popular so I can see why they might not care as much.
Now onto contracts and memberships.. oh wow. My friend got into a car accident that got him bed locked for 2 months. He’s got all the proper paperwork so he thought “I should cancel my membership, I have a valid excuse to get out of the contract and I won’t be able to workout for a year anyways”.
-“haha” was probably the membership director’s reaction. He offered to split his one month payment into 4 after which he will be paying full price as usual.
Another friend of mine moved states and wanted to get out of the contract with all the proof - the manager took her money for the month and refused to cancel the membership. No elaboration.
Also for some reason they stopped giving you yellow paper copies of the contract you sign. Shady.
Get your memberships paid with a credit card so you can cancel through them with no issues.
Original review:
Been going to this gym since July of 2022. This place certainly beats other gyms in some terms, but absolutely lacks in others.
The two gyms have every single machine you may need for your workout, don’t ever have to wait for more than one person to finish their workouts. Prime times are busy, but they are prime times for a reason.
All equipment is high quality with some machines a little worn down, but the management updates and places more machines from time to time which is great
Now onto the cons. How come are there no water fountains in this “premium” gym? They have a whole protein drink machine right in the hallway but no water fountains in sight… if you need water you can ABSOLUTELY go to the vending machines or their lounge and spend money on water…
Front-desk staff is nothing bad or good, they are just there.. Most of them are in their late teens or early 20s and are just there for the paycheck, I can understand that. Don’t expect any crazy service you would expect in a “premium” gym you pay so much for.
Trainers.. there are certainly a couple of good ones out there but there are some that treat the gym like they own it. How are you going to close a whole cross-fit gym for a single class? If I’m paying a full price, I should have full access to all the gyms at all times. Other trainer was upset with me using the machine as intended, oh well, I’m sorry, I forgot that if I somehow break it, it would take you guys half a year to fix it.
Sauna… haha!! Such a big amenity that so many are looking for. Guess what? It’s never working. I’m pretty sure it has only worked for about a month since July of last year. But everyone got excited for this new shower and sauna renovation that left people paying their memberships for nothing(literally nothing, you couldn’t use the pool for a month because there were no showers). The time comes, the sauna works for about a week, cold as usual but you know, it’s there! Next thing you see is an “Out of Order” sign and a wooden beam going across the door. Not surprised. New showers were slippery, that got fixed after the complaints. New showers didn’t even have shelves for your shampoos and body washes(maybe they put them up by now, not sure)
The pool only has 2-3 lanes available out of 8 because they are all booked for private lessons. Can’t speak much about it but other reviews have mentioned more.
If you have the money and just want to workout and go home - this is a pretty good gym. If you come with minimal expectations for such a high price - you will be disappointed. Maybe this gym will see...
Read moreAlthough I do use the gym to its full capacity with weights and other machines, this review is specifically about the pool:
Let me start off by saying that when I initially joined the gym and received a tour, I was told by the gentleman who set me up with the membership that the pool was infrequently used and mostly empty. In reality, the pool is busy from when it starts (6am) up until closing. This means at least 1-2 people per lane for all 8 lanes. Coming from swimming at the local Y, where I had to share a lane with 6-8 people, this was certainly an upgrade. I do not mind having to share with 1 other person and we split the lane. However, often times, the older people in the pool area have little to no swimming etiquette and the lifeguards only facilitate their bad behavior: cutting off swimmers, jumping in front of me when I'm about to claim a lane, leaving for 30-40 minutes to come back and tell me that this was their lane, and so forth. When an elderly gentleman was seen cutting across mutiple lanes in the middle of the pool and essentially swimming wherever he wanted, I was told that this was what he does and with a defeated shrug, the lifeguard walked away. In addition, it is only AFTER a dangerous situation happens or nearly happens that the lifeguards intervene. There is rarely any prophylactic intervention or education happening.
This is surely not enough reason to give the pool a 3-star review. So on to my next point: the schedule. Normally, from 3-9pm about 5 of the 8 lanes are taken up by the swim team. If you work a normal job (and the gentleman at the front desk tells you that the pool is barely in use) that means you can go early at 6 or 7am or at 9pm. Or you have to share the slow lanes with 4-5 other people. Now, however, with kids out of school, the schedule has changed from mid-June to mid-August to accommodate 3-4 children swim camps each day plus the swim team. This means that as an adult, for this period of time, you have 15-30 min random blocks of time where you have to share lanes with 4-5 other swimmers. If you're serious about swimming and training, it is nearly impossible. And if you try to go early morning, the lanes are completely filled up because all of the adults are now having to use these times to swim. Furthermore, the swim team takes up 3 of the lanes plus 2 other lanes for privates on Tuesdays and Fridays. On Saturday and Sunday, for the majority of the day, 4-6 lanes are used for privates.
Where was the communication for this? I show up one day on my regular swim time to be told that I have 15 minutes to swim. No email was sent. Just a laminated copy of the new schedule posted on the men's locker room door. Where is my compensation for this? Where is my discounted rate for the fact that 90% of the available swim times for adults have been taken away? Bless the lifeguard Irina for at least sitting down with me to explain the completely convoluted and unreadable schedule. For a gym with such a beautiful and clean space, it is unfortunately run by unprofessional people. I am counting down the days until Sept when the pool regains normal hours and praying they don't mess up the...

Signing a contract with them is a breeze! They’ll smile, make it easy, and take your money with open arms. But breaking that contract? Oh, that’s a different story. Honestly, I’m convinced that even your own death wouldn’t be a valid reason to terminate it.
My husband had a stroke. I brought an official letter from the doctor stating that he was paralyzed, hospitalized, and wouldn’t be able to return to any kind of physical activity anytime soon—if ever. The staff’s response? “That is not a valid reason to terminate the contract.” Excuse me, what?! At that moment, I realized I wasn’t speaking to a human being but to a money-obsessed robot with zero empathy.
Now, let’s talk about the staff. Mostly young kids between 18 and 25, with the emotional depth of a brick wall. They mechanically do their job and couldn’t care less about the clients. Group classes? An absolute joke! Instructors can just not show up, and apparently, that’s totally normal. One morning, I showed up for a yoga class, sat on my mat, and waited… and waited… 40 minutes passed, and still, no instructor. Nobody even bothered to inform us! When I finally went down to the reception to ask, they casually said, “Oh, the instructor is sick.” Okay… so where’s the replacement? Where’s at least a simple apology? Nowhere. Just silence.
Now, the pool—ice-cold water and such a strong chlorine smell that you wonder if they’re trying to poison us. After swimming, your skin feels like parchment paper, dry and lifeless. The sauna? A joke. The temperature is barely higher than room temperature. You’d get warmer standing outside in the sun.
The showers? Out of five, only one is even remotely acceptable, and it’s the one for disabled guests. But in that shower, there hangs the most disgusting shower curtain I have ever seen. I have seriously considered just buying a new one and donating it to them! It looks like it’s been there since the place opened and hasn’t been washed since.
And let’s not forget my favorite part—the $75 annual “maintenance fee”! Yes, on top of your monthly payments, you must also gift them an extra $75 for… what exactly? Clearly not for fixing that curtain.
And the locker rooms! They have TWO hairdryers for everyone, and calling them hairdryers is an insult. They’re so weak, you might as well just blow on your hair yourself. In the end, I had to start bringing my own hairdryer, because apparently, in the 21st century and in America, providing a proper one is just too much to ask.
So, if you enjoy wasting money, ruining your mood, and feeling like a complete fool—this is the perfect place for you! But if you have even a shred of self-respect and value your time, stay as far away...
