The Mets plaza is located directly outside of Citi Field where the Mets play. We took the subway from Manhattan, and the subway stop feeds you directly into the Mets Plaza. There are many photo opportunities here including: the Amazing facade of the Stadium, a reproduction of the Big Apple that pops up when the Mets score a home run, and the famous Tom Seaver statue. The stadium and plaza are very accessible and pleasant to spend some time before the Mets game.

The plaza in front of CitiField is a good place to wear a funny sign during the Mets' opening homestand. Sometimes the cops let you do it, sometimes they don't. I was well hidden from them by lines & throngs of fans on a Saturday evening; not so much on a Tuesday afternoon: that's when the po-leefs got me. I then decamped to the far side of Roosevelt Avenue, where I wasn't bothered further, but got some...
