I go to Met games frequently and always go to the CitiField Shake Shack because I feel you get the best value for the quality food that they offer. And yes the burgers and shakes are delicious (my go to is the Shack Stack. Highly recommended.) What disappoints me is the service. Especially my last experience. I understand that I will miss some of the game due to the long line, however 3 full innings in my mind is excessive (for those who are not familiar with baseball, that's ONE THIRD of the entire game!) While the line was at its max there seemed to be only 1 to 2 people working at a register, and the rest of the workers were moving way too slow and didn't seem to care that there were people waiting a long time (others close by agreed when I verbally lamented over this.) Long lines happen and as a consumer I understand that. But not having a sense of urgency to address the volume of people and not showing that you care that people are missing the game they spent their hard earned money for is unacceptable. From now on if that line is more than halfway full I will choose another vendor. Sorry guys, you have got to hussle up a little bit more! Or maybe hire some more employees to handle the large crowd. I'm sure between Citifield and Shake Shack can...
Read moreWow! Deliciously good-tasting, bad-for-your-body, food. This is a heart attack in a box, but at least you’ll die fat and happy. Seriously, this was an awesome burger. There are better ones out there, but I was surprised at the taste and quality of this burger for a ball field food stand. This was my first experience at a Shake Shack (I’m from out of town), and while the line was crazy long (a 42 minute wait between the top of the third and the bottom of the fifth innings), my meal was worth it. The prices for a ball field were decent and our customer service rep was friendly and patient with our large order for six people. As for the food, the fries were actually crispy and delicious as well considering they look like the Ore-Ida frozen crinkle fries you can purchase at the grocery. The shakes were heavenly. These are no frills, add-on burdened shakes, just pure creamy, ice cream and whole milk smoothness. And they fill you up! Come prepared. Come hungry. Leave full to bursting! I’ll definitely visit a Shake Shack when I’m...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Shake Shack. I had fairly low expectations given it was at a baseball stadium, but still I was expecting something reasonable given the Shake Shack brand. Unfortunately they didn’t have concretes, the signature ice cream with mix-ins. But they did have an option for plain vanilla custard with chocolate sauce which I thought would be tasty. Unfortunately, they scooped it into a cup and covered it with a plastic lid in such a way that when I opened the lid to eat the ice cream it exploded like a runny ice cream soup volcano. I was covered in melted ice cream and chocolate sauce. In the future, Shake Shack should either use a larger cup or give a smaller scoop of ice cream that...
