Started out bad by saying âthe tap was brokenâ on the $3 happy hour beers and instead we had to get $14.25 cans of corona.
Got much worse when Richard F decided to bully our table with a second random ID check. My party had a minimum age of 25 and an average age in the 30s. All IDs were obviously legitimate. He came over, harassed us for 5 minutes while scanning IDs erratically with a flashlight. Took two of them (not including mine, btw, he just pissed me off) for âadditional checksâ. Came back saying that they were fake and could not be used. When confronted about how that was obviously wrong as both people were well over 21 (one in their thirties) he said he âchecked with the copsâ and left. I went to confront him on this and he was talking to his friend, the alleged cop. When I asked him how he could tell - and if he was even a cop - his answer was âwell, I was a copâ.
Clearly Richard F took it upon himself to bully a group sitting there quietly out of his own boredom. This was a group of coworkers that was as far as possible from either underage or loud. But he was too prideful to realize that he read us wrong and that our IDs were obviously real, and dug in and lied both about the IDs being fake and about verifying them with a cop.
Also, again, itâs overpriced. Pretty nice atmosphere...
Read moreWent to EBBS first they have great craft beers and itâs right down the block from the old McFaddenâs location, which is what the Korner is now basically same set up same bar but my godson had a Bud Light in a bottle and it came to $15 I mean seriously thatâs absolutely ridiculous so you couldnât possibly go there with friends and sit there and watch the game thatâs for sure cause you would have to walk home they have these plastic Met drink mugs for almost $30 and it was 2 ounces of alcohol itâs a tourist trap and you no longer have access to the stadium. They shut that down this year and you have to leave and go through the crowded bullpen entrance. I could see why it wasnât crowded there and was crowded at EBBS because their beers are like $10 for a 16 ounce crafted bee maybe 16 different ones from taps and food is better as well . This could easily have gotten one star, but because it wasnât crowded we were able to at least sit...
Read moreMay 25, 2025⌠Sunday, 4:30 PMâŚ. We were here for Mets, Dodgers, and I saw some bad reviews, but we decided to take our chances. We stood in line to get in and we were about the 20th and people in line. They open an hour before the gates open⌠it was a 7 oâclock game and gates would open at 5:30 PM⌠They let people in at 4:30 PM.
Being that early, we easily found a seat at the bar. We left at 5:45 PM to go to our seats and there were still plenty of room for people to sit. If you cannot get a seat at the bar or in the bar area⌠They have quite a few tables in an open area that is a short walk to the bar. Fun atmosphere with all the Mets fans, good bar food, plenty of beer selections. The bartenders got what you needed in a timely manner and were fun and friendly. They were well staffedâŚA little expensive⌠but hey, itâs New York City! Definitely a fun...
